It was spacious and had adequate storage for our stuff. It had a nice bathtub. All the appliances worked as far as what we used.
To us, it had a weird system for delivering hot water which we never figured out. I called intl to the owners, and they claimed they could deal with it remotely. But when I took a bath, the water was lukewarm. They wanted us to wash all our dishes and put them away, so it left open the question of whether they get properly sanitized. The place smelled of cleaning products, and they wanted us to open the windows when we left but all of them were locked, except the bathroom.

The house is within easy reach of Stornoway Town Centre and in a quiet little cul-de-sac. It was clean and tidy, basic without any frills. Cutlery, crockery and cleaning materials were provided. There is TV. The rooms are bright. The instructions to collect the key and gain entry were accurate.
At £135 per night (we stayed for 2 nights, and so £270) the price is, in my view, pretty steep, but then again, the hotels are exorbitant. Lewis is a great place to visit, but at these prices, we won't be doing it often.
