Comfortable place, adequate for our needs.

Bathroom - whoever designed it has never had a shower or a shave there. Lounge needs incidental lighting, it was too dark to read even with the main light on.

Location and cleanliness.

One chair was past its prime. Mattresses were not optimal.

The location was convenient. This place was clean and renovated, but it wasn’t welcoming.

There were few amenities and many checkout requirements. Plus we encountered several challenges with the door and hot water. We booked this place in part because it had a washing machine, but no detergent (or bath soap, shampoo, etc) were provided. A neighbor had to help us get inside because your lockbox for the key was broken. Locking the door was difficult at first and instructions about its quirks (you have to lift up the handle first) would have been appreciated. The shower alternated between scalding hot and freezing cold. A toilet roll holder would be nice. We didn’t use the overhead kitchen light because it was so blinding. Bed risers on the twin beds wouldn’t go amiss - the beds difficult for an older person to get out of since they’re so low. Leaving even one laundry tablet and some body wash would go a long way.
