The whole experience was superb. The fact that the meals offered fish each day was wonderful for us. The variety of fish was exceptional. Loved our room. We requested a dog friendly room & it was perfect for that.

Great stay, very comfortable and clean room. We had dinner and breakfast, both meals were outstanding.

Everything was so lovely. The team were so friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and well designed. The food was delicious

Nice room
Breakfast took 1 hour 15 minutes to arrive, sausages and bacon were over cooked, breakfast was expensive and we were charged extra for a hot drink on top. Not once did the staff come to the table and explain and apologize for the long wait, only when we questioned it did she say "They are having issues in the kitchen"

Room and accessibility/provision for dogs
Quiet in restaurant however sold out of most options at our time of dining 7.45pm. Poor value for money versus quality of experience. Breakfast appalling, waited 45 minutes before giving up and leaving without, several tables had been waiting for over an hour when we left

The customer service was fab even before arrival as I had a number of questions as booking for a group. Staff accommodated our needs & were attentive helped to shape our stay with convenient table bookings over the weekend for food .
Limited food options if allergic to fish/seafood

Very comfortable, beautifully designed and presented, fabulous location. Room no.7 is small but perfectly formed. Bed was low and soft, like sinking into a cloud, maybe not to everyone’s taste but perfect for me. Particularly taken with the tea and coffee choices in the room. Lovely walk in shower. Complimentary Molton Brown toiletries and quality bathrobes was such a nice premium touch. The room smelt amazing from the Molton Brown orange and bergamot reed diffuser. We didn’t have dinner as we dined elsewhere, but had a really good breakfast. Staff are professional and friendly. Cannot fault it at all.
Nothing. Well, maybe those stools in the bar are quite uncomfortable…

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was lovely.
Cost of the room slightly steep, but this was due to a late booking over a popular weekend due to its proximity to the National Arboretum.

Location and comfortable and helpful staff.
Way overpriced.

It is very well furnished, decorated with a friendly atmosphere
Not the most comfortable bed.
And for the price per night, maybe including breakfast would be something to consider

The room was nicely decorated, with a great bathroom / shower. Well appointed - good tea / coffee facilities. Restaurant / bar area very cosy and feels like a posh country pub - exactly what we were hoping for. Bed was comfortable and nice quality linen and pillows.
Overall, we were very happy and would stay again. However, there were some small areas for improvement. Two hairs in the bathroom, one under the toilet seat, one on top of the bath. The food was good, almost excellent. The crab tempura was slightly overwhelmed by the raw onion in the slaw - suggest using something milder. The skin on the sea bream was not crispy enough. It wasn’t unpleasant, but I wouldn’t have served it like that. The bedroom was very warm - we slept with the window fully open all night, a fan is provided however. The breakfast was a little greasy, there was too much oil / fat on the plate. The sausage, bacon and black pudding were all good quality though. Scrambled eggs were firm, I wouldn’t order again. We had high expectations based on our evening meal, but breakfast fell short of the same standard, but by no means poor. Just not great. Only got 3 cups of tea from a pot of tea for two, just needed a little more!

From outside in I can only describe as exceptional. From the decor, bedroom, staff and food absolutely first class.
Only staying one night.

Beautiful rooms, good security
No aircon for a room that is £220 per night!! We slept very badly. Bad breakfast that wasn’t included in the £220 a night!

The decor of bedroom and restaurant was superb
The food was very good
Some staff fabulous
Bedroom door directly opposite kitchen door
No soundproofing , gap under door - food cooking oil and fish smells filled bedroom which had no windows but a door opening onto the carpark .
Noise from kitchen cooking and staff and carpark intolerable at times

Shower was lovely, nice bar area
Overpriced for £205 per night for the size of the room that excludes breakfast.

Nothing.

A stylish refurbishment of a previous pub, done really well with interesting touches. Comfortable stay (except for a few irritating flies at dinner, overnight in the room, and at breakfast). Quiet, tranquil village. Bed v comfortable. Dinner was ok, breakfast good. Room was quiet - no kitchen noise or other interruptions.
We liked everything about this stay although the price is quite high for a pub room in a country village when we include breakfast which was charged separately.

The food, excellent service and lovely rooms.
The Cow is a great place to stay. It was exceptionally hot for our stay and the fan and slightly ajar window didn’t ease the temperature.

Nice room pleasant modern decor. Lovely shower Room, nice touches with the coffee machine biscuits and toiletries.
Had lunch at the inn, that was also nice.
We booked here for proximity to friends. At £200 for a room without breakfast included the price was very steep when there are chain hotels in the area at a fraction of the price.

Room was okay
Having breakfast not included was a ripoff at 14 pounds and that was for mini breakfast and the price for a double room was at 204 pounds a bit much for a pub expensive for what it was

There was an overcharge regarding breakfast of £15. Ive tried twice to arrange a refund but no one seems to want to sort it.
There is also a very noisey extractor fan under the end bedrooms which runs until closing time which meant that the afternoon siesta was not possible because of the noise.
The cost per night at £230 i feel was excessive. If we were starring in the TV program '4 in a bed' i would have paid £180.

Literally one of the best places we have stayed at. The food was to die for. The Catch at the Cow, was just like eating seafood from a restaurant at the coast. The quality was amazing. The staff were so friendly. The room was just perfect bonus it had its own private little terrace. Highly recommend.

Nothing to complain about. Room small, but comfortable. Food was excellent. My plans changed and I had to leave after one night of a two night planned stay.
Unfortunatly they insisted on me paying for both nights. This suggested a somewhat money-grabbing attitude that left a bad taste.

Room and bathroom was clean and modern but with plenty of character.
Tea and coffee making facilities.
Food was amazing with a great specials board.

Food was great - nice room.
The shower - the hot water came through either or hot or cold it wasn't consistent and not a pleasant experience - there is obviously an issue with the water system. I did mean to let someone know but forgot when checking out.
