The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s young cricketers.

This stunning boutique hotel was an absolute dream. From the incredible decor to the wonderful staff, delicious breakfasts, central location, everything was just perfect for our 3 night stay. The photographs do not do this hotel justice - it is even more fabulous in person. Do not hesitate to book, you will not be disappointed!

It’s very well maintained despite being a heritage property. Staff are very helpful and the location is excellent.
Would have liked to see better gender diversity in the staff. It was predominantly men as staff that I saw and just a few female employees.

Stunning property and wonderful staff. Our room was a loft suite and on to levels. The pool was beautiful and the perfect place to chill. Breakfast was excellent and the Ropewalk bar a very special place - the Arrack cocktails were amazing. The staff were all fantastic and super helpful - nothing was too much trouble.

Stunning building, beautiful rooms and divine pool. Staff are exceptional. The most delicious cocktails, designed by a specialist mixologist to highlight the special ingredients from Sri Lanka .
