The property was very clean, tidy and well presented with a homely feel. The location was great - right in the centre of Galle fort area. The staff were super helpful and friendly.
There was nothing not to like although ‘sea view’ was pushing it a bit - maybe if you stood on a chair in exactly the right spot you would be able to see the sea !! However, this did not detract from our stay.

Lovely staff, good location, comfortable.
It was extremely expensive for what it was so we honestly felt a bit ripped off given it was the most expensive place we stayed in our 9 days in Sri Lanka. Better places closer to the centre were half the price. Also the sea view room we booked had no sea view so this was really disappointing. The pool was directly in front of two rooms so had no privacy. Food service was also really confusing as we thought there was no restaurant but we saw people eating dinner. It wasn't explained to us that dinner was available. No menus in room. Breakfast was similarly confusing even though the breakfast was very nice in the end.

A beautiful, colonial building set in a great location to explore Galle.
The food was delicious and the staff amazing.
The pool was small and only had 4 sunbeds - a problem if you didn’t get there early enough.

Location was great for sightseeing
The property is adjacent to a noisy secondary school, which is open from 7am until 2.30 pm. Woken up at 7am by the school and impossible to relax by the pool due to school noise.
