Just wrapped up an unforgettable stay at this heritage hotel tucked right inside the heart of Galle Fort, and wow… what a vibe! The moment you step in, it feels like you’ve travelled back in time—colonial architecture, antique décor, and those warm, earthy tones that make the space feel instantly comforting. The rooms are clean, and thoughtfully preserved without compromising on modern comforts.
What really stood out for me was the hospitality—every staff member made us feel like valued guests, not just visitors.
You’re literally walking distance from the lighthouse, quirky cafés, and charming boutiques—couldn’t ask for a better location.
Also, if you stay here, don’t miss the breakfast. It’s not just a meal… it’s the perfect slow start to the day, right inside the historic walls of Galle Fort. 🍵🥐✨

A stunning hotel in the beautiful Dutch fort in Galle. Although the wifi didn’t work, not for the lack of them trying though, we couldn’t fault our stay. The staff were attentive and helpful, the breakfast was exceptional and the room comfy and clean. Easy access from the hotel to anywhere in the fort, loads of places to eat and drink and look at. One of the staff recommended a beach where we could see and swim with turtles so ask them where the best places are.
Honestly can hand on heart recommend and if we are ever back we would definitely stay again.

Prince of Galle truly captures the essence of what I expected from staying in the Galle fort. The hotel is full of character, historical artefacts and the staff are genuinely warm and friendly. The breakfast was so well curated and delicious, we ended up in a food coma. Would love to visit again.
