Apartment Jovana

Lovely big apartment with lots of cooking equipment and a big sea view balcony. Private parking (which you really need in Dobrota). Swimming directly in front of property and lots of bars and restaurants right outside. Lots of flowers and plants around the apartments. Very helpful family owners.

There are a lot of steps which is fine for most people but be wary if you have mobility issues. The swimming area directly in front can collect some rubbish. Need to pay cash only.

The apartment itself is beautiful, well appointed, and has everything you need (except beach towels!). The beds are incredibly comfortable and we had a wonderful night’s sleep. Additionally, Jovana was very kind and accommodating. She kindly lent us beach towels so we could cool off at the beach when we arrived a bit before check in

Jovana’s father was extremely heavy handed when we arrived without cash in hand. It was not clear that the property was cash only (my mistake, but hadn’t had that experience anywhere else in Montenegro) nor that it would be expected upon arrival. I was getting changed shortly after check in when he came to the door and threatened to kick us out if I didn’t go to an ATM that instant. I’ve never experienced anything like it in my life and did not relish being treated like a criminal. It’s a beautiful apartment. I would definitely stay here but just arrive with cash in hand!

The location and the views from the terrace were amazing. Very nice hosts.

The sleeping area was not great. Double bed pushed up against a wall made it difficult to get in and out for one of us. There were a lot of steps up the property but as we were only there for 3 nights it was worth it for the view. But wouldn’t stay any longer than that.

What a lovely place! Can’t be better! Jovana place is designed with perfection! So clean, so comfortable, view is amazing. Might be the best view in the country! Jovana and her father are lovely people and great hosts. We definitely recommend this place to other travelers.
