Pleasant stay, welcomed with surprise birthday treat from the hotel which was a very nice touch. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the fire-door outside our room was constantly left locked open, partially blocking the door to our room. In the event of a fire, we would have been impeded in leaving our room and the fire would have spread as the door was not left closed as instructed on the signs in place. This was a hazard that could have been avoided.

Had a wonderful stay here, location is very good easy to walk to the tube. Had our pizza as supper on one of the night I a Italian cafe nearby this hotel.

I spent weeks trying to coordinate 4 rooms for a family stay, but it was a nightmare from the start. No one answers emails or the phone, and when you finally get through, the reception team just blames the reservations team. The lack of care continued at check-in: The Room Muddle: Despite providing names for each room, they assigned them incorrectly. My sister was expected to share a bed with her 23-year-old son. We had to spend our own time swapping everyone around and asking for beds to be remade into twins. The "Upgrades": We paid an extra £90 for "space" and twin setups, yet the rooms were "compact" to the point of being a joke. One ensuite was so small it was a struggle to move, and the entrance to one room had a dangerous step that is a genuine trip hazard. Poor Maintenance: Furniture was tired, walls were scuffed, and the soap/shower gel dispensers were completely empty. Useless Compensation: After explaining we don't drink, they left a bottle of Prosecco in the room. The "complimentary" breakfast was poor quality—hard tomatoes and "plastic" sausages. Staff were pleasant enough on the surface, but clearly uninterested in actually solving problems. For £800 a night, we expected professional service, not a series of excuses and safety hazards.
