Absolutely Incredible.

One of the best places I've ever stayed - perfect room, private beach, stunning views, amazing staff, and OMG what a breakfast! I would go back to Albania just for this hotel.

I didn't like that I was only there for 1 night. Next time I will book a week at least - I really did not want to leave.

Comfortable and relaxing

The private beach was beautiful and quiet, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious, and our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The location was also great – close to the promenade and restaurants but still peaceful.

The shower water temperature fluctuated every minute or so, but it wasn’t a big issue since we could still take a full shower without any problem.

Great place to stay in Sarande. Good rooms and all well maintained. This is a family run business so they are all over it and great customer service during our stay. The view from the room is amazing. The food was great as well.

Nothing negative about the property, but the location in google maps is not right and is difficult to reach the hotel and its tricky.

Wonderful beachfront hotel

Very nice room with a stunning view on the beach and sea. Beautiful private beach right in front of the hotel. Very quiet. Nearby parking included in the price of the room. Fation is a very helpful and nice host.

Relaxing hospitality at its finest

The communication pre-arrival was helpful, responsive and polite. But it didn’t even hint at how lovely the place is and the people are. From the moment we checked in we were impressed. The room is modern, beautifully appointed and immaculately clean and the balcony became one of our favourite places to relax. Everyone has mentioned it but Maria’s cooking is glorious, the breakfasts will keep you going most of the day! But it’s the warmth of the welcome, the hospitality, the ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude of everyone, to the point where they moved a table onto the beach for our last night’s sundowner G&Ts. It’s also ideally placed for a walk into town, or to catch the bus to Butrint, which you have to visit I really recommend OpenTours for a visit to the Blue Eye as well. We will be back because we just felt so relaxed staying there, it’s rare a hotel feels like a home-from-home but Da Luz did exactly that.

The hotel was cozy and quaint. The cafe was beautiful with direct access to the beach.

The surrounding buildings to get to the hotel was a bit tricky. The hotel is a little hidden and you have to pay close attention to the signs.

Amazing week in Sarande

Amazing room with a hot tub looking out to the sea and Corfu. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the rooms are modern. The breakfast is truly excellent! You genuinely don’t need lunch as you receive so many options, all cooked fresh and to order. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough for a stay in Sarande!

Love!

First time in Albania and have to say it was amazing. I believe this hotel might be ran by a family. We always saw the same gentleman everyday and he was so friendly and helpful throughout the whole stay. Breakfast was included every morning and did we eat a lot ! He just kept brining us food to try and my family loved it. When me and my family visit again I will be staying here. Thank you

Perfect 😍

Everything was perfect. The best hotel I stayed in during my trip to Albania. The room was well decorated, comfortable and there was also a hot tub, which was great especially that when I arrived in saranda, it was raining. 😄 the breakfast was tasty and the owner gave me some cake as I was in a rush for a day trip with a guide.

The property is beachfront with spacious, comfortable rooms. It’s a family-run business where guests are treated like family. The homemade breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Overall, a warm, welcoming stay that was great value for money.

They don’t have parking. However if you get a space you can park in the main street.

Amazing stay – highly recommended!

This hotel was honestly one of the best we’ve stayed at. From the moment we arrived, everything felt smooth and welcoming. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist with anything we needed. The breakfast was a highlight – fresh, tasty, and with so many options. Way better than what we expected! We also tried the restaurant food, and it was delicious. The room was very clean and comfy, and the whole place had a relaxing vibe. It’s right in the city, so you’re close to everything, but it still feels peaceful. The view from the hotel is stunning, especially at sunset. Perfect spot to chill, eat well, and enjoy Sarande. Would definitely stay again!

Best hotel in Saranda hands down!

This is THE hotel! I’ve never had such a pleasant stay in my life. The room is great, nicely decorated, and very spacious with everything you need! The balcony to the sea has a spectacular sunset view. The shower pressure was awesome! Bed was very comfy as well! 24/7 parking is easy in the adjacent streets. Now, let me tell you about the BREAKFAST! OMG! The hotel is family owned by a couple, Mimosa Maria and Themistokli. Mimosa is a chef and makes fresh breakfast every morning with different food every day! Coffee, juice, typical pastries, eggs, bacon, sweets, cakes…The cakes, omg the cakes! I would go to bed excited for breakfast the next day. There’s also a restaurant with a lunch and dinner menu. The beach is small but great because there aren’t many people. The location is awesome, far enough from the crowds but still a walking distance by foot. Make yourself a favor and book this hotel, you will not regret it. We initially had it for 3 nights but added an extra one because of how amazing it was! I usually never leave reviews, but this place deserves EVERY compliment. Thank you Mimosa and Themis for making our stay unforgettable. Can’t wait to be back! I left feeling like I made new friends!

Lovely stay with excellent breakfast

Maria is the sweetest host and an excellent chef. She spoiled us with a very elaborate and varied breakfast every day. The place itself is cozy and clean.

The beach is pebbly and quite steep (water shoes recommend) and there was some trash. Some more hooks for towels would be nice in the back room.

Everything was done to a high standard. Felt very luxury. Great value for money. We had the first room next to the reception desk. It was quiet, soundproof and cosy. Customer service was amazing. They were caring & considerate. We had club sandwiches here and breakfast and it was all absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a little beachside resort in sarande, YOU NEED TO COME HERE!

An incredible find- book this amazing place now!!!

This place is phenomenal!!!!! Best location, terrific price, super modern, attractive, recently renovated, comfortable and spacious rooms with gorgeous Ocean view on a wonderful terrace with loungers, everything you could possibly need, great AC, comfortable bed, well designed bathroom. It’s a family run boutique hotel, and this family is SUPER NICE and so helpful and hard working. Plus we got the best breakfast of our entire 3 week trip around Europe- all homemade with the freshest, highest quality ingredients by the mom of the family. They also had parking, super nice beach access with loungers and umbrellas, a beautiful restaurant with beachfront patio. It was like a spa resort! Lots going on in the area for those who like to party, but it wasn’t loud in the room. If you get one of these rooms, you have scored! You have a gorgeous view of the ocean and Corfu! Highest recommendation possible for this place. Do not hesitate- book it!

The definition of hospitality.

This is an amazing place to stay in Sarande. You feel like family here the moment you arrive. Maria makes incredible food, and her breakfasts are legendary. I highly recommend the suite with its private patio. We had the best time sitting there every evening watching the sea. Such a special place, I highly recommend.

Bit tricky to check in, I don’t think I saw anyone at reception our entire stay. Once we went to find someone it took quite awhile for them to respond leaving us waiting.

Incredible stay at Da Luz!

Our stay at Da Luz was fantastic!! Better than we could've imagined. Maria and her husband are incredible hosts, and you can see they are putting their whole hearts into everything they've done and do for the hotel. Also the breakfast she makes every morning is delicious! The hotel itself was so charming and comfortable, it really felt like a boutique. The location was great too, just a 5 minutes walk from the promenade and the private beach was so lovely and peaceful, with clear waters. Definitely recommend and we'll be definitely coming back (:

A no-brainer for a quiet, yet centrally located property!

My stay at Da Luz felt more like staying in the cozy home of a local family — with exceptional hospitality to boot. Not only was all the food prepared by Mimoza absolutely delicious, but she also became my favorite person in Saranda in no time because of her kindness. The hotel itself, is chic and minimalist, close to some of the city's best restaurants. No complaints... and highly recommended!

Lovely and best best breakfast ever

Where can I begin. This is a review I have been waiting to get to write like a love letter to the Foto family and their beautiful boutique hotel. I would say this was by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at EVER, for its overall experience and normal expectation. I was really not expecting anything bad but absolutely not what we found here. Mimoza!!! We have loved sharing every short moment speaking to u, eating and enjoying your food. The beautiful and tasteful rooms are well thought and well planned. Every detail is there for your comfort. This is a business that treats their guests like their most precious friends. Da Luz lives up to its name, we left sad cause we couldnt give back half the vibe they gave us. The breakfast and anything Mimoza cooks you will be Lucky to have this experience!!! Her husband and family have given us a beautiful welcome to Albania and we have already told everyone we know to come to Sarande and Da luz. The room exceptional views, best best, beautiful room. Service is out of this world. Just 10 min walk and u are in the life of Sarande. 20 min taxi ride to Ksamil.Just stay here and rent a car to Ksamil its worth it. The sunset from The room is OUUF!!! My daughter Kenza still talk about Maria and her food. She told all the restaurants in Greece that everything tasted better at Marias home Da luz. Thankyou Much love

If anyone says anything negative there is something wrong with them. This place is just perfektion. Everymorning after Maria takes out spinach pie, cake, juice, teas and pancakes with chocolate bread she comes and asks: what would u like for main course? As If it wasnt enough!!! We love you Mimoza!
