We definitely will come back! Now it’s one of the favourite places in Bali!

It was absolutely amazing! The location is perfect—slightly hidden from the main street, so it’s quiet, yet close enough to walk everywhere. The room was very clean and cozy. The area is incredibly beautiful, full of plants, with a lovely pool. There is also access to the beach if you don’t mind walking and climbing some stairs, which is pretty common in Uluwatu. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It’s easy to get around using Grab or Gojek. Breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty.

My only suggestion would be to add a bit more variety to the breakfast. Including some vegetables and avocado would make it absolutely perfect.

I booked a round bungalow & the hotel changed the room I booked , they did say “apparently it was an upgrade but I’m not sure of that , bungalows look more intimate , private The curtains don’t fit the windows properly they have gaps , not good for privacy & gardens lights come through the curtains , bit difficult to sleep

A wonderful stay in Bali with stunning views, peaceful grounds, great facilities near beach.

We had wonderful stay, it was our last leg at Bali, we wished we could have stayed longer here, stunning grounds, peaceful and amazing view from our balcony, not mentioning good spot to observe local monkey from safe distance. , we enjoyed the outdoors shower and pool facilities, short walk to local beach.

Breakfast selection was very limited and portions could be more generous, would be great to have bar services at pool.

Not the best value, but good location

It was a good location and the room was spacious. Nice pool also and staff was helpful as everywhere in Bali

While we were aware of the monkeys, it was still quite shocking that they stole our toothpaste and we were face to face to them in the open bathroom. A bird was inside our room through the roof and it made us wonder if anything smaller than a bird could come in. The breakfast was mediocre at best and we couldn’t get any juice while the machine was down. The bedsheet didn’t seem the cleanest either

Absolutely wonderful

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff is incredibly friendly, the breakfasts were exquisite, and we even got to enjoy a floating breakfast in the pool at no extra cost — which truly felt like a dream come true. The location is perfect: it’s close to the shops, and right next door is Banana Lounge, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner and great drinks, making the whole experience even better. The beach is only a few meters away, and the hotel also offers massage services, which adds an extra touch of relaxation. We will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Uluwatu.

The staff were amazing, helpful and very accommodating. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The pool area was very relaxing and clean.

The only very small thing was the centipede’s in the bathroom area- there were only a few in the shower and pot plants.

Nice quiet accommodation

Location was a short distance from Impossible Beach, but a bit of walking to other areas. The breakfast was basic, but nice. Staff were friendly. A short walk to Alma Tapas Restaurant, the best tapas I've tasted. Banana Lounge next door is great for drinks and meals, as Incense Impossible Beach only offer breakfast. Meals from next door can be ordered and delivered to your room.

The staff were very nice, although they didn't seem to offer much advice on what to do or where to go. Maybe brochures could be offered to first time travellers?

Very positive stay all around

Staff were very friendly . Pool area was nice and was in a good location.

Only thing we didn’t like was the outdoor bathrooms. They had signs saying beware of the monkeys and to not bring valuables out incase the monkeys steal them. It is a cool concept but you can’t go to the toilet or have a shower without fear of the monkeys coming in.

Perfect little stay!

We stayed her two nights and we really enjoyed the friendly staff, Excellent breakfast, the big room and pool. It’s approx a ten minute walk to a couple of restaurants at a more busy street. Next to the hotel is the banana lounge which also offers fine food! Walking distance to the beach.

A hidden gem in Uluwatu

My stay at Incense was amazing! The location is perfect, just steps away from the busy main street but still far enough to avoid the noise and chaos. There is some construction in front of the hotel, but thanks to their agreement, work only happens between 9am and 5pm, so it didn’t really bother us. The staff were super attentive and helpful, even arranging a scooter for us at a great price that was delivered right to the door. Breakfast was delicious with three options, plus fresh fruit, coffee, and tea. The rooms are spacious, the outdoor shower was such a nice exotic touch, and the bed was very comfy. Everything is well decorated and thoughtfully done. I’d definitely come back here if I return to Uluwatu!

Couldn’t have found a better place to stay

The space was so private and comfortable and the staff so welcoming. The rooms were fantastic and spacious and I can never live without an outdoor shower after this…amazing! Location was close to everything, either walking or a short scooter ride. The breakfast was excellent, not a big bunch of buffet everything, but cooked for you on order with a nice choice to start your day. Highly recommend an in house massage in the gardens, just as much as I recommend a stay here. We will be back.

Serene setting. Comfortable beds. While they don’t have a restaurant on site, they have partnered with banana lounge next door and offer 10% of all food and drink. And their food is delicious. Especially the brownie.

Building noise right opposite all day. But not much they can do about it. Overlooking from the balconies on the building being build opposite into the bathroom/ shower Suggest increasing the visual protection. The shower is separate from the rest of the bathroom with a gravel bed, which can be a little precarious when wet.

Wonderful stay

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave great recommendations and helped organised transfers for us to and from the hotel. The breakfast was tasty and portions were generous.

The only 'negative' was the construction work next door which was completely out of the hotel's control and not a reflection on them, just something to be aware of.

Lovely place, but take ear plugs

Rooms were large, pretty grounds, the massage, friendly staff.

Although not the hotel's fault, there is a lot of construction work going on around it. Although it stopped at night, the incessant cockerels squawking throughout the night was very annoying. Again not the hotel's fault, but impacted our stay. Basic breakfast offering, that would get very boring after a few days. No bar service or snacks available at the resort. Quite expensive when compared to other locations.

An Oasis, perfect for a short stay, excellent location!

Beautiful property, clean, lovely rooms & bathrooms, beautiful gardens & pool area. So tranquil, a genuine hidden oasis. The staff were amazing, always so friendly, incredibly helpful with excellent communication about requests, bookings for massages, scooter hire etc etc or just info! Delicious breakfasts, the restaurant next door was also amazing for lunch, dinner, drinks & you get a discount.

The only frustration was storage, there’s absolutely no drawers, wardrobe or bedside tables so very tricky to unpack anything.

Relaxing luxury-feeling apartments!

Great location, friendly staff and gorgeous complex. Our bags were immediately taken upon arrival and put in our rooms, then we were provided ice cold drinks as we checked in .There was plenty to do in the local area but it was tucked away enough to be pretty peaceful! We were given loads of recommendations of great restaurants, beaches and activities and the communication with staff over WhatsApp was impeccable. Room came with a mini fridge stocked full, with everything reasonably priced. Would love to stay again if I'm ever over in Uluwatu!

Breakfast was mediocre but complimentary. There was a large construction project ongoing across the road which was a little noisy but no fault of the hotel! There was no noise overnight or noticeable noise around the pool area.

it is not the property's fault but there is a club not to far away which plays music till 10pm, I do not think it is an issue for most people but I am in bed by 9pm and prefer to listen to the sounds of tropical frogs rather then music, the noise level is not excessive by any means but I rather then I did not have to hear it

Beautiful Place to stay

Incense Impossible Beach was a beautiful place to stay, the gardens were beautiful, the room was so unique and it was nice that it was a small venue. All the staff were so friendly, it was super clean and we had a fantastic breakfast during our stay.

It was a shame about the noise surrounding the hotel due to building works. Uluwatu is so busy with development at the moment - this can't be helped, but it will affect your holiday.

Green oasis

The Balinese-style 7 houses for a two-person hotel seem like a green oasis. They are situated in a good location and easy to reach the centre of Uluwatu by foot (10 min walk) or a motorbike or a car. The closest beach where you can spend time near the ocean not so far but you can climb 100 steps down and up when you return. For me is easy but you just to know about it. To the other beach, you can go by car or motorbike but it's the usual way and the most common in Bali.

A lot of construction around the time but it's seems to be in whole Bali the same. Tourism is at the top in Bali, it's good :) Their neighbour is a Banana hotel, they play music quite loudly and provide not delicious meals. I can't recommend this place to have dinner :(
