A beautiful, tranquil sanctuary and a wonderful place to relax. The staff are humble, welcoming and genuinely kind. The cleanliness is next level. At night, there is some road noise and you can hear roosters and dogs so earplugs are recommended if you're a light sleeper. I'll definitely be back. Nothing! It was all so wonderful.

La Cama really exceeded our expectations. We arrived from central Lombok, where everything had felt very rural and peaceful, and we were going to Uluwatu for a wedding. Because of that, we were expecting a much busier and more gentrified atmosphere, and we honestly thought the accommodation might feel a bit pretentious or like “just another” place in Uluwatu. Instead, we found something completely different: a calm, family-run business with the family’s house and farm just around the corner. The area itself is very quiet, but if you walk only a couple of minutes, you can already find everything you need and everything Uluwatu has to offer. Inside La Cama, though, you do not feel the busyness at all. It feels peaceful, pretty and protected from the chaos outside. We also thought the place was even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The pictures did not fully do it justice. The atmosphere is very charming, with a cute dog, a cat and chickens around the property. The owner mentioned that some guests do not like the chickens, but for us they were part of the charm and made the place feel more authentic and alive. Moreover the entrance is in a secondary street with like a 'square' in front, really easy to park, pick ups and drop offs. Overall, we were very happy to support a family and a local community that seems to be trying to run a business while harming the area as little as possible. In a place like Uluwatu, that felt really meaningful to us. We were very glad we stayed here.

There was NOTHING we disliked. The only thing to be aware of is that the property has animals around, including chickens, a dog and a cat. For us, this was not a negative point at all — quite the opposite, it was part of the charm of the place. If you are looking for a very polished, hotel-like or completely silent environment, this may be something to keep in mind. But for us, La Cama felt peaceful, genuine and full of character.

Wayan does a great job at La Cama. It exceeded my expectation and was a little oasis in the busyness of Uluwatu. Look forward to staying there again!
