We are a family of 4 Me, My husband and our two daughters ages 12 and 13, Every one of us absolutely loved staying here, It was small and cozy but definitely enough space for everything we needed, we never felt like we were on top of each other which I did fear before going. The use of space here was fantastic, the two girls took the double bed in the bedroom and me and my husband stayed on the sofa bed in the living room so we could stay up and watch the tv, The sofa bed was a lovely hard bed and my husband said it was best sleep he has had in a long time, the kitchen had everything we needed and great space, the bathroom had an electric shower so no need to heat the water before, the area around was very quite, we felt like the only ones around although we weren't because the host was in their house close by which was a fantastic help because I couldn't get the information I needed from the app due to a new phone not an app or booking problem, so the host was quick to come and give us the key and we never seen them again but we knew they were close if we needed them. We spent our time out at Waterfoot beach which was a few miles from the house with fantastic views and a perfect beach to relax on. There is a small asda express near by and alot of food delivery information in the home. It was a fantastic stay and we would highly recommend it, They also allowed our dog to join us and they provided a dog bowl for food and water. Outside the doors is a lovely seating area very peaceful with stunning views of the sunset at night.
I honestly can't fault this place. I don't have one thing I can say that I didn't like.

Lovely little cottage next to the owners property. Lovely welcome on arrival. I slept on the sofa bed in the lounge, very comfortable & Mum said bedroom was comfortable. Heating & water was lovely & hot. Everything there that may be needed, on a quiet road.

Lovely cosy little property with everything we needed for our stay. Perfect find that we’ll be saving to favourites for our next visit to Ireland.

The holiday home was comfortable enough, and had nice extra touches like board games and dominoes to play.
The place was not very clean, dirt and dog hair all over the floor and the bed sheets smelled like the previous guests! We had to spend an hour cleaning it out. When we mentioned this to the hosts in a friendly way via text, they confronted us at the house in a bad mood, told us they were annoyed and didn't believe us until we showed them the photo's we had taken. this made us feel very uneasy as it was done in front of our little boy!

Set out in peaceful rolling countryside, the standalone house offered all of the privacy and tranquillity I was looking for. In spite of the pastoral location, all of the supplies I might need were less than 10 minutes' drive away in Ballymena. It was a great central location for exploring from, with about a 20 minute drive to get to anything I wanted to see (the east coast, Glenariff forest, the north coast, Antrim Town Centre, etc.).
The house itself had every amenity, including a fully furnished kitchen, but the greatest luxury was the peace and quiet to get a good night's rest between my day trips. I only hope to stay longer next time.

Everything was perfect for us, the house was stunning and the photos didn’t do it justice, even though they were lovely. The location was perfect for us visiting family, short drive into town, with shops handy, incredible view from the house, and John and Jacqui were just fantastic hosts, left us to it, but anything we may have needed, they were right on it without a fuss.
Thank you both, your rental was fantastic and we will be back again for sure.

Good location, nice and quiet. Bed was excellent,we slept like babies.Good kitchen with all you need for comfy stay, nice bathroom too with bath tub. Great chair for watching TV and reading. Our doggy was happy too.
Property share the yard with owner's house but that was not advertised here. To be fair, the owners stayed away and we had the yard for ourselves. Sofa needs to be replaced with new one, because this one is uncomfortable.

We had a lovely stay here and a great New Year’s weekend. The cottage is in the countryside, on a marvellous road which connects this part of the island straightaway to the furthest northern area. And we needed to stay close to the coast while being in a rural area. The cottage is so cosy, absolutely spotless and with small details that make you feel really welcomed. Fresh bed linen with a marvellous smell are provided for any need, the kitchen is perfectly equipped, the TV even comes with Netflix and the bed is comfy. We loved the furniture, a mixture of modern and vintage style. You also have a garden with a small playground for kids. One of the best things is that we had the chance to bring our dog. And you can see that here dogs are not only welcomed but loved. What we definitely loved were our hosts, John and Jacqui, so kind and always promptly replying to our requests.
Cannot recommend Gateway to the Glens enough. Will definitely visit again!

The weather was unusually warm at the time we were staying at the property. Jacqui was so kind and went out of her way to purchase a large fan for her customers to use. So thoughtful.
It's an exceptionally pretty location and so peaceful.

Lovely location. Quiet setting. Host was lovely and even know you are surrounded by beautiful fields it’s a five minute drive to Tesco’s. Very handy.
If I’m being critical the sofa bed in the living-room wasn’t comfortable it dips a lot in the middle but the bed in the bedroom was so comfortable.
