The Cabin at Forestview Farm

You can be in the nature and feel so relaxed. Enjoy the time to be away and disconnect from everything. Horses and donkeys around makes the place magical. The little lake so beautiful on front the house . The house so big with a lot of space outside . This place is beautiful doesn’t matter if you get sunny day or rainy days

We had such a great weekend here. The cabin is really cosy and has everything you might need. It’s a lovely quiet spot, perfect for relaxing, especially by the fire. The bedroom has big windows that open onto a nice little terrace — such a great space. Hopefully next time we’ll get better weather and be able to have a picnic outside. Our daughter loved the welcome treats — the crisps and chocolate pastries were a nice surprise. It was also great to have water and milk in the fridge. It’s the little things like that that make the stay feel extra nice from the start.

The location seemed remote but we could access towns and attractions very easily by car. The cabin itself was more spacious than expected & had the weather allowed we would have enjoyed the multiple outdoor decking. Everything to cook and clean were provided. Being able to use the dishwasher was very handy. Even though we had no contact with our hosts throughout our stay, I had no doubt we would have been able to contact them if need be. We kept cozy with the wood burning stove and had a couple rounds of the board games provided. Due to the rain, it was quite muddy & it was useful to know there was a “horse-wash” near the rear of the cabin that we could rinse our dog off with. We did see many horses & riders (around the property as well as in the neighbouring areas) so I highly recommend all visitors be aware of horse/road safety etiquette. The yard/pond area around the cabin was not enclosed so we didn’t feel it safe to let our dog off-lead; however there was just enough greenery for her to enjoy without having to leave the property for a proper walk.

The sofa-bed was adequate for our family of four only because our 17yr old son & 11yr old daughter were agreeable in sharing the sleeping space. The internet was slower but adequate. All in all, had the weather been clear we could have seen the stars & I’m sure the views would have been breathtaking. A walking map of the area may have been helpful to walk to the monument.
