Kawaguchiko Lakeside Hotel

This hotel is simply fabulous. We stayed in a traditional tatami-style room with an amazing view of Mt. Fuji. The room was quite large and had everything we needed. There is an onsen on the ground floor. It is very convenient to use. It really felt wonderful after a long hike around the lake. On both days we had the traditional breakfast offered by the hotel. It was different each day and it was an experience. Well worth the price. The vegetables come from the hotel garden. The hotel is a two minute walk from the lake. The proprietor was friendly and very helpful. He provided rides to and from the train station, and plenty of good advice. His English is quite good. If you are visiting the area of the lake, this is where you want to stay. The photos I provided were taken from our hotel room window with different zoom settings.

I love this place. Very near to the Kawaguchiko Station (about 1.5km). The hotel manager is kind enough to fetch us from the station to the hotel (vice versa) using shuttle van. Hotel is super clean, breakfast is delicious, staff is friendly, and the onsen (hot bath) is a must try. Hotel rooms faces directly to Mt Fuji. Awesome. Thanks for the warm hospitality. Clean, hygienic, very good view of Mt Fuji, just opposite to Lake Kawaguchiko and right next to redline bus stop 5

Spent 2 nights here. Unfortunately did not see Mount Fuji, but staff were very nice and accommodating. My room was spacious, with, what could have been a great view of Mount Fuji. Good location and the pickup from and dropoff to the train station were welcome.

Hotel looks dated, but I knew this when I booked. The use of the same slippers as every other guest is unhygienic.
