Light and Shadow...

This review is about our hotel-room: very good, big, in the old main building. comfort plus, everything okay. Pricing is self-confident. Nice landscape, park-style, in the middle of nothing. Thumbs up!

Restaurant. Overprized, slow service. Just one motivated staff for everything: orders, serving, reception, phone-calls... (the funny bit: the bin on car-park full of Mc-Donalds paper and beer-cans from somewhere else...)

Getaway in the country side hills

The hotel is amazing. In the middle of nature and not far from Köln, Dußeldorf and Wuppertal. Staff are fantastic and friendly. The restaurant has great German food and drinks. The rooms are large, clean and beautiful. There is a tiny golf course on the property for pitch and putt. Everything about the place is perfect for a weekend getaway.

Quiet forest hotel in close distance to the motorway

The hotel is situated close to the motorway but still very secluded in the middle of a small forest where the only noise is a faint trickle from the small creek running nearby or birds tweeting. However, during summertime the outside guests may be heard, too. We stayed in a small suite situated in the newer part of the complex, very modern and well equipped. Breakfast was very good with a rich selection.

Be aware that the capacity of the restaurant is limited. There are several kilometers to the nearest restaurants. Also if you want to hit the road early be aware that breakfast is not served before 7 am all days except 7:30 am Sunday. There is no lift, so you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs yourself.

The perfect place to stay and have a rest after a long journey!

We enjoyed our stay! The hotel is located in a quiet and clean green area, but not far from the motorway. The on-site parking facility was very convenient. The hotel's territory is beautiful and the landscape around is picturesque. The hotel architecture combines the traditional and modern styles. We liked the design of the spacious and quiet rooms with comfortable beds and equipped bathrooms. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of different meals. The communication with the hotel staff was smooth. We are very thankful to the polite staff who welcomed us to the hotel on our arrival in the evening and helped us with our requests!

very friendly staff. We staid in the dependance, which was recently renovated. Nice restaurant with good wines at affordable price. also charging my EV car was offered.

only minor remarks: soap reservoir in the shower were empty and scrambled eggs at breakfast were not fresh.

Price-quality ratio: Way too expensive for what it offers No fridge No kettle No sunbeds by the pool Very small and basic outdoor pool. Room door was very hard to open (heavy) with an old-fashioned locking system. The key was so heavy that one can defense himself with it😂

The restaurant and sommelier, a very knowledgeable and friendly wine expert.

The lights right outside my window were flickering the whiole night. Dark curtains were not available. Noise from the motorway could be heard making for an unpleasant sleepless night. Would not repeat it.

Okay für einen Kurztrip, nicht gerade günstig angesichts der eingeschränkten Bewirtung

Sehr ruhige Lage, angenehme Zimmer ( in unserem Fall Suite ), nettes Personal, alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Zufällig gab es am Sonntag einen Brunch, der ausgezeichnet war, aber auch entsprechend teuer. Leider gibt es diesen Brunch nur unregelmäßig.

Eingeschränkter Bewirtungsbetrieb! Das Restaurant ist geschlossen. Frühstück gibt es als Etageren- Frühstück. Sehr schade, weil das Restaurant in früheren Zeiten excellent war mit sehr gutem Service (Herr Proll!) Keine Bar bzw. Möglichkeit, einen "Absacker" zu nehmen. Macht einen etwas tristen Eindruck dadurch.

Un bel endroit avec un bon accueil et de bonnes prestations

L'endroit est magnifique, au calme, propre et bien organisé. Le personnel extrêmement gentil et accueillant. La chambre était confortable, spacieuse, bien éclairée et la salle de bain bien équipée. Le petit déjeuner était copieux sous forme de buffet et les produits de bonne qualité et variés.

Einfach toll !

Bei der Durchreise stießen wir zufällig auf diese wunderbare retreat mit ausgesprochen höflichem und zuvorkommenden Personal, einer wunderbaren regional-saisonalen Küche und bestem Comfort.

Super service ( Herr Saif ), tolle sternverdächtige Küche mit indischen Wurzeln. Wunderbare Stille so nahe der Autobahnabfahrt Burscheid und ganz im Grünen. Das privat geführte retreat ist jede Empfehlung wert ! Und unser Haushand war auch noch willkommen. Danke für diese Erfahrung !
