Everything was perfect! Nino is the perfect host (and he has s very interesting life story). The location - straddling a ridge with gorgeous views to the East and West (and several comfortable sitting areas to enjoy them from), and a 5 minute drive from the medieval hilltop town of Montepulciano - was idyllic. The facility - an 800 year old former monastery - have been lovingly transformed while keeping the original look and feel. The grounds are immaculate, generously shaded with both large trees and olive trees. The pool is large and well cared for, surrounded by lots of nice lounge chairs, umbrellas, and shade ramadas. Our two-room apartment (#7) was fantastic. It had everything we needed, and was very comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed (although it didn't have a microwave), the sitting area was cozy (we loved the fireplace), the bathroom was large with an enclosed shower and bidet, and the queen sized bed was great. Amazing views, super relaxing, and near a bunch of quaintly beautiful medieval towns. Our stay was 9 days. Sounds like a long time, but it went by much too fast. We hope to return again for a longer stay.
