Fantastic location, great size rooms (we stayed in the apartments), easy to ski out and ski in or bus in. Fantastic food, different all week and well priced especially compared to Lech.
Very comfortable but in need of modernisation (slightly dated) for rooms and health/sauna facilities. All very good though. Staff were attentive, but some staff could be brusque.

Location and traditional style, and waiter/ cleaners all great. Ski room good. Apartment good (except for broken shower which was never fixed)
Wellness area adequate.
The manageress Nancy lacked any charm and made us feel like we were distinctly unwelcome. Owner whilst keen to welcome at times somewhat lewd and inappropriate with our teenage family.
When a repair was done to a defective shower it did not cure problem yet we were chastised by Nancy at dinner for not thanking management fir the (non) repair. In fact the Shower head still fell to the floor and we had not thought repairs completed.

Herr Wolf and Frau Nancy are caring and most thoughtful hosts - they made sure that our stay at Hotel Hartenfels was all we could hope for! A friendly welcome with helpful tips about skiing in the area was followed by a week of attentive hospitality. The breakfast selection was lovely and perfect for a day of skiing (the cable car is just a few minutes away!), while the local dishes served for dinner were always tasty and very filling. The rooms are spacious and very designed and tidy. It’s clear that this is a family establishment run with passion and attention to every detail. Can’t wait to go back!
There is nothing to dislike - the location, hosts and food are great!

Very friendly and helpful staf to start with; furthermore we had a very spacious room/rooms, separate toilet, bathroom with shower and separate bath, balcony with nice view, all absolutely great! Both breakfast and dinner (were included) were very nice. For breakfast a variety of eggs were freshly prepared, which is way better than pre-heated scrambled eggs you get in some places. Also dinner was very tasty, every day another 4 course meal; and if you didn't like one dish (didn't happen to us;-)) you could always choose another from the a la carte menu. The choices in wine was broad. And after a day of hiking, nothing better than to sit on the terrace with a cold beer and a friendly talk. We absolutely loved it there. And in combination with the possibility to purchase the Lech-tall card for only €44 for a whole week (which allows you to use all the local ski-lifts and local busses) we had a wonderful stay. We actually love to go back!
That we had to leave;-)

Great breakfast buffet for all tastes with large selection of delicious Austrian bread rolls, eggs freshly prepared, and a lot of other sweet and salty stuff and very good coffee and expresso.
Excellent gastronomic 4 course dinner, stuff very attentive towards alimentary restrictions and very flexible for replacing courses accordingly.
Receptionist not very friendly. Sauna included in Hotel price but not available at all during the 9 days we stayed in the hotel, even after several requests (will be opened only at days with bad weather entirely as the hotel staff sees fit).
