The only thing was the drive up , quite steep. Would be better if it was tarmac but it is sheep land , that’s the only issue we had

Amazing, tranquil break away

This property has everything and more that you need for a relaxing break away. So peaceful and quiet. The views are amazing. Plus it is a very dog friendly property, with a field to walk the dogs in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were friendly and on hand if you needed anything.

A tranquil and peaceful haven

Outside of and away from the hustle and bustle of mainland Lake District. Exactly what it was advertised as being, peaceful and tranquil. The place was in a fantastic setting under the mighty Blencathra. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed to cater for a full weekend away.

Wonderful base to visit the lakes

Close proximity to Ullswater, Derwent water, pet forendly and little things like washing up liquid, biscuits, milk, toiletries, tea towels and as much kitchenware as at home.

Would have preferred a 2 seater sofa to 2 separate chairs but that shows how picky we'd have to be to fault it.

Perfect Stay 😊

This is the 2nd time we've stayed. We absolutely love it, it's perfect. It's so clean, amazing views, shower and a bath (amazing after a long day on mountains), spacious - plenty of radiators for wet clothes and room downstairs to leave boots ect so not taking up the living space. The bed is amazingly comfy and big! A field out front for the dogs to have a wander about too 😊 The Northern Western Fells on the doorstep and about 10 mins (if that) from Keswick! It's a little gem & we will be heading back. Thankyou Mark & Fiona 😀

Great location for walking in the lakes. Dog friendly. The views from the apartment of Blencathra were stunning. Will definitely stay again.

A lovely little find!

Tucked away in a beautiful location but within walking distance (over the fields) of the local pub. Comfortably furnished accommodation with a well-stocked kitchen for two. Welcome pack of tea, coffee & biscuits. Plenty of towels & hot water which was very welcome after an early morning walk up Blencathera in silly heat! Very comfortable bed, hotel quality linen & towels. Beautiful grounds with plenty of space for everyone on site. Friendly and welcoming owners with high standard accommodation. We will return!

The armchairs were a little soft for our liking but that's really just personal preference & not a criticism of the accommodation. I'm sure what we like wouldn't suit others!

A fantastic comfortable dog friendly place to take a break

The fact that we could take our dog and that there was a secure field to walk him. Apartment was lovely , clean and tidy with everything we could need for self catering. Bed so comfy and large. Views wonderful

Wonderful lake holiday

Was very good value for money and the secluded location felt private even though there were numerous other cottages in the same spot. The location was a perfect distance from all the fells, Keswick and Penrith being very central. Loads of parking spaces available. Staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful.

Would have liked frosted glass or something similar in the bathroom for some privacy.

Lovely apartment

Location was spot on, easy access to loads pf walking spots. The apartment was clean and warm and the host was wonderfully friendly. We can't wait to come back!
