Our stay was absolutely amazing and we didn’t want to leave the location was fab just at the base of my favourite mounta

The only thing for me was the bed was very uncomfortable and pillows were to hard but to be fair the lodge made up for those small personal dislikes others may like that

Good clean lodge what had everything in we needed for our stay, good location 4miles from Keswick

Stairs are steep and on a slight curve, but that didn't borher us, no good if you have mobility problems

Lovely stay in a good location with all the main places not too far away.

Lovely lodge with stunning views of the mountains. Nice not shower and very well equipped.

The staircase in the lodge did not appear to be wide enough on the turn which was made out of brick and slate. Found it quite difficult to get up and down and feel safe whilst doing so Found entrance difficult to see at night not being illuminated and off a very busy road.

Comfortable but wouldn’t return .

It was clean and had a well equipped kitchen.

The stairs are dangerous as the steps are slate with sharp and angular sections, the upper hand rail is loose and cannot be held onto and the middle section steps are very narrow. There was no or little information on the appliances or local amenities or foot paths nearby, there was no one to ask any questions or to find out information. The noise from the road is constant and especially at night the sound of Lorry’s was difficult to ignore.

The area was nice, the accommodation was cold

Then location was good if you like walking and peace and quiet

It was cold. The heater was not up to scratch for the Lake District in February

warm, comfortable but several repirs required inside the accommodation.

Great location for walks on Blencathra & Skiddaw. Far enough from the bustle of towns, villages but close enough if requiring shopping or entertainment. Accommodation was great for up to two people but there were a few points highlighted below.

Close to A66, so constant road noise. Fridge was not secure inside cabinet and the Microwave was the same. The staircase is an accident waiting to happen due to the way it has been constructed. No interaction from the owners.
