Damp and smelly .

Location The pretty garden Views

The awful smell of damp . It even wafted outside on our arrival . We had to wash crocks and glasses before every use ( so we left them out of cupboards ) as the cupboards smelt so bad . The mattress on top bunk lumpy and bumpy . One sofa very sat out . The whole place smelt damp , and was damp , guitar would not stay in tune , Books felt damp , labels peeled off jars . The television was not working at all . This was put right on third visit of very patient engineer . The oven seal is hanging loose . The whole place needs a thorough clean , dust and old labels from clothes in wardrobe . Backs of doors dusty. Bathroom floor is loose and bubbly . Parking spaces great asset but so tight and we have a medium sized car . Trimming of the shrub would ease the problem . Almost all of these issues have been pointed out by previous guests and I wonder why they have not been attended to ? Please could you let me know that my comments are not a waste of time ! Thank you

So bad we cut the holiday short by 2 nights

Leaking bedroom ceiling (marks show it had happened before)and toilet flush kept sticking (reviews show that is an ongoing problem) Very tired property Parking could be easier by simply removing part of hedge

Great location. Cottage had everything we needed.

The parking space was very tight! Ideally could have been a metre wider which would have allowed easier manoeuvring into and out of.

Poor value for money.

Location. Accessible by bus.

The property was dirty. It was obvious that the furniture had not been moved to clean underneath as there were crumbs and beetles there. There was a filthy tea cloth which we were not able to improve by washing. The towels were damp and it seems were not washed with soap powder as they had a dull look.

Good

Location is beautiful.. especially if you go on walks up the small street, past the school. The house is veeeery old and has a lot of character (no particularly straight walls or floors), but it was really nice and warm.

There is a charge for pets which we didn't know until we got there and read over the documents, so we paid £20 to the contact person.
