Perfect place for exploring the lakes

The cottage is comfy, cosy and well-equipped. We particularly enjoyed the electric fireplace heater! The shower is excellent, especially the continuous hot water supply. The location is convenient for exploring Keswick as well as accessing public transport to visit other parts of the lake district.

House was tidy and in a great location which was quiet at night (could hear the river, but was quite soothing to listen to)

Great weekend retreat

It was great, everything easy to use, able to put heat on, after getting cold on the hills. The owners have thought about a place to put shoes/ boots after running. Would definitely book again.

Location was great and the bonus of a private garden to sit in when we returned from our walks was brilliant, esp due to the heat last couple of days

The gate at the garden kept opening ,so temporarily secured it closed with a bit twine, other than than no complaints at all

Great location, lovely quiet area, comfy cottage

The location of this cottage is fabulous, it is a 5 minute walk from the town centre and situated in a lovely quiet area with a river running by and rabbits on the green. The cottage is adequately furnished and the kitchen has everything we needed. there is salt and pepper, washing liquid and tabs, hand wash provided. Also there are towels and washing cloths/tea towels provided. the double bed and twin beds were comfy The garden is lovely although not secure for dogs,

There was only 1 toilet roll for 3 people for 3 days Please don't get me wrong, the place was freshly painted and clean however, we did find half an old packet of Oreos in the cupboard (still there), the bin lid and drainer were a little bit grubby - none of this was a problem really except we were not allowed in the property until 5pm on the arrival day and had to leave before 9am on the departure day so if this was true of all visitors the owner had had 8 hours to clean? I attempted to contact the owner on several occasions via booking.com and did not get a reply, I attempted to ask about arriving a little earlier and just got an automatic rejection notice - a little more personal contact makes a massive difference. I advise that you as a visitor get the key code from booking.com - you never know you might get into the property earlier than 5pm - we did
