Man fick en känsla av att lägenheten var ”billigt” inredd, lampor och ledljus som inte fungerade, badkar som inte gick att använda då det läckte, ofräscha duschdraperier och juldekorationer (kuddar mm) som var kvar nu i april.

Besucher der Bar im gegenüberliegenden Gebäude waren teilweise etwas laut.

Perfect location for sightseeing, restaurants and shopping.

The location is outstanding, right in the center of downtown and walkable to almost everything. The apartment is genuinely large and could comfortably accommodate 8 to 10 people or several families traveling together. The rooftop terrace is a real asset, and we spent a quiet evening up there with a glass of wine watching the sunset. The host was friendly, let us arrive a few hours early, and had stocked the apartment with beer, soft drinks, milk, fresh fruit, and snacks. That was a thoughtful touch and we appreciated it.

What you should know before booking: 1. The unit sits on the fourth or fifth floor, and the only access is a narrow winding staircase. We did not mind the daily exercise, but if anyone in your party is older or has mobility limitations, this will be genuinely difficult. Factor it in before you book. 2. The floor in the main hallway sits roughly an inch below the rooms on either side. Everyone in our party tripped on it multiple times a day, including our two 21-year-old sons, and stubbed toes were a regular occurrence. 3. This is an older historic building in a nightlife district, and the noise reflects that. The host cannot control it and it is a fair tradeoff for such a central location, but you should go in with eyes open. There are bars below and even with double-paned glass we heard people shouting in the street until 2 or 3 in the morning. I slept with earplugs. 4. Luggage storage was agreed to and then reversed on the day of departure. A week before our trip we asked whether we could leave our bags in the unit from 11am to 3pm before our flight, and the host agreed. On the morning we left, he changed his mind and asked us to have everything out by noon. It would have been completely fine if he had declined in the first place. We would have booked a locker. Instead, we were scrambling for an alternative an hour before checkout. 5. Cleanliness was inconsistent. We found dishes in the drawers and cupboards with dried food still on them.
