Archontiko Fotini - Traditional Guesthouse Meteora

Accommodation is on top of the mountain in Vlachava, very close to the monasteries, a few kilometres away only, so location gets 10/10. A bigger accomodation name sign would have been much better, as we arrived after dark and it was a little difficult to identify it. There is a small name plate on the gate. Owner was extremely prompt and helpful helping us with indications in order to get in. We had a QUAD room for 4 people, 2 double beds with bathroom in it. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean 10/10. Both beds were too small for 2 people, even for 2 older kids, but we managed to sleep ok-ish 8/10. Bathroom is extremely small and you can hear literally everything from the bathroom in the room and viceversa, even a louder breathing. Faucet at the sink was partially broken and we had to try and fix it in order to be able to use it and I’ve read in other reviwes other tourists had the same issue with it. There is no shelf at the bathroom sink mirror in order to put our toiletries and it would have been great to have one and not to use the sink as a support for face toiletries. There is hot water for showering but you have to turn on the boiler about 15 minutes before showering and it’s just fine, and also turn off the boiler after finishing, as hazard prevention. 8/10 There is also a kitchen downstairs, also very clean. We did not use it as we did not the sign of it indicating where it was…there are stairs leading to it but we did not know where those would lead, if to the other rooms or elsewhere, and there was no written sign showing “Kitchen”. We discovered it too late. The yard if pretty big and welcoming. Presentation photos are accurate. There are 2 taverns very close, we ate at "Eagles’ nest" restaurant, which has pretty good food, astonishing views, BUT, althoug prices are ok-ish, they brought to us 6 bread slices (which we did not ask for) for which they charged us 3.

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft in einem kleinen Dorf etwas oberhalb der Mereora Klöster. sehr netter Kontakt mit Marios.

Für 4 Personen war unser Zimmer etwas klein.

La struttura è molto carina, un’oasi di Pace immersa nella natura. Camera e bagno molto puliti inoltre vi è un’area comune dove fare colazione autonomamente con caffè, fette biscottate e marmellata. A 10 min a piedi sono presenti 2 ristoranti dove cenare. Luogo perfetto se ci si deve spostare con macchina e visitare le Meteore.

La colazione poteva essere più abbondante e variegata ma considerando il prezzo del soggiorno andava bene così.
