This is a very friendly, welcoming place. There's a big kitchen and social area, very nice to hang out in.

Unfortunately, the dorm beds are the shaky bunk type that keep light sleepers awake.

Good location, very friendly and helpful staff and volunteers. Clean bathrooms/showers, better than you find in some hostels. A huge step up from the marginal hostel I had just stayed in in Athens. Minutes from the bus station, and right down the street is a little bakery that makes delicious little pastries for 60 cents apiece. A couple of those plus a coffee makes a good cheap breakfast.

Great hostel in Meteora! The staff is the kindest ever, they make you feel at home since you step in! The hostel have an amazing toilets, kitchen and peaceful location. The rooms are spacious and clean!

Where can you be a "holy guest"? Only at "The Holy Rock Hostel". And where can you still meet (in a positive sense) a hostel father like in former times? Also there. His name is Kostas, a helpful caring man. He even brought the new guests to their rooms and introduced them to the others. (In some other hostels guests get their key, find their way to the rooms and when they enter nobody says even "Hello"...) May be hostels with a nice vibe attract also nice guests (or make guests nice). During my 2 nights there I met many nice travellers! I stayed in a 4 bed dorm. There was a lot of space in the room, a table, chairs, even a sofa. The common room is also spacious, The kitchen is well equipped. Everything was clean. And all this for a very reasonable price. Thanks a lot Kostas and staff!!

There was just one thing missing: the angels

Property is clean and well maintained. Kostas (the owner) is incredibly helpful and funny. It is also close to town and shops and you are able to hike to the monasteries from the hostel

Very cozy. Good location. Easy access to the town center and the bus station to Meteora. People working there were very kind to tell me the tips for travel in Meteora. Stayed in the girl's room. So clean. Bathroom was also allocated for girls. Very nice and chill.

Thank you fir everything Kostas! This place is not a hostel, it’s a home away from home. I had a great experience, spacious, clean (and private feeling) shared room, nice bathrooms and kitchen, lovely atmosphere. Kostas and the volunteer Greg were friendly, welcoming, kind, helpful and gave great tips for hiking and eating. Best hostel experience, highly recommend!

Kosmo and Greg -adorable hosts. These guys doing great work running this place. It was very clean very nice common area and they are very caring.

The location is very close to the city center, on the monastery road. The rooms were clean and spacious. The cleanliness of the toilets and bathrooms was not bad. The guy who welcomed us at the reception was very helpful and smiling. There is a parking space in the garden for motorcycle safety.

There wasn't anything I particularly didn't like.

Amazing stay! The hosts Sue and Kostas were very friendly and made the place welcoming, Sue also makes homemade family dinners, unfortunately we did not get to join but it smelled amazing! :) The hostel had everything we needed, laundry services for a reasonable price, free towels which smelt so nice and clean, a cozy hangout space, equipped kitchen, secure lockers, comfy beds, and spacious bathrooms. The price was also reasonable- great value for the money! :) One last point, Sue and Kostas provided a helpful map for visiting the monasteries which included their openings hours which was super helpful. Highly recommend staying here, would come again!

Very cozy hostel. The dorm is spacious, the beds are comfy, outlets and curtains for each bed, the shower is hot enough and the kitchen is well equipped. Nice common area to relax or have a meal. Good location as well. Just go 🤙🏼

The hostel was really nice, Kostas was really helpful and the location was excellent. The rooms and bathrooms were in very good condition. All in all, it was great value for money, and I would definitely go back.

I like this hostel with all facilities, good environment and comfortable. Very kind and friendly staff especially Mr. Kostas. Everything was good. I highly recommend this hostel in Meteora, Kalampaka.

Whatever requirements a good hostel need to be have, you have it all! WELL DONE!

The shower room was a little too small. I used the bath towel to wrap my lower body after shower and put on my pants in toilet just 2 steps away as shower room was wet. Small issue anyway.

Loved to meet people of different ages and cultures. Liked the ambience very much. And then the Meteora magic was there too.

Incredible place to stay, chill out and enjoy hiking and visiting the monasteries. Kostas ( the ownner ) and Nikos create a great atmosphere and soon make you feel like at home. I went for climbing for a few days and finally stayed there two weeks. The hostel is located in a quiet area of kalambaka so rooms are not noisy and very comfortable as they have plenty of space. The toilet and kitchen facilities are also great, modern, spacious, and very important -at least for me - always clean !!!. It´s probably one of the best hostels I have ever been !!!. Great value for the price. Thank you and Congratulations to the owner.

The Holy Rock was well located, close to the station and a short walk from both Kastraki and the start of the Meteora walk. Nice facilities with a frontal communal area - free control over music, several sofas/ tables, games and a few chairs out the front to chat/ smoke. The bathrooms are partially communal (same room but labelled men/ women?) and were clean. The showers had good water pressure, towels are provided and you are able to do laundry. The kitchen isn;t large but has 2 large fridge-freezers and you are able to cook. The rooms were clean, the lockers were an average size. Everyone was friendly and polite - I really enjoyed chatting with Steven one of the volunteers and the sisters in my room from Georgia were also lovely. I really recommend walking between the 6 monastries (2 are nuns) - it's about 16km and very doable only the first section up to St Nicholas is steep, takes ~30min, max 45 if slower. Take enough cash as its 3$ entrance to all. All have giftshops. You can borrow wrap skirt. No tank tops. Be aware that one will always be shut (check depending on days of week). Sunsets are stunning and you can walk back up to meteora properly to several viewing points but for an easier and empty viewing spot 10min down the road from the hostel try - https://goo.gl/maps/asEYVon5pBHfrXZUA (Nice View Sunset Cliff) - walk up the road behind and then clamber the cliff a lil (its got a white banner on it, sunset will be to your right) If passing through Palaeofarsalos there may be an older local Greek man sitting on the platform - this is Kristos who will always advise on which platform you should be on and is usually up for a smoke/ chat. There is also a small bar where you can buy beverages/ icecreams. There are toilets at this station but be aware there is not always toilet paper - Id grab a napkin from the bar en route :)

Be aware there aren't basics provided in the kitchen (oil etc). Wifi worked well most of the time but did cut out on occasion.

Amazing place to be in Meteora is in the heart of the city with plenty of tranquility and nice people.Sue and Kostas are very kind and helpful.for sure I will be back there.Thank you for a lovely time there!
