Great place to stay!

It was a great surprise arriving at Meteora Central and feel so welcomed by the hosts. I went there in a rainy day of January so my dorm was just myself and the hosts made share that I was comfortable. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen has everything needed for cooking and everything was clean and tidy and they have a place to keep the luggages if you plan to leave the city later than the checkout time. Thank you very much for the warm welcoming. I recommend to all people that stay in Kalabaka probably to visit Meteora, a stunning and unique place!

Exceptional hosts and lovely facilities

The most helpful and friendly hosts! So happy to go the extra mile to help you with buses, directions, and local tips. We had a later afternoon bus and they let us the wait in the common area and store our bags. Great set up, fully equipped kitchen where you could prepare meals and cook. Even had some games!

Surprisingly great for a hostel. Would definitely try it again.

The people running it are lovely and very helpful. This was my first time in a shared hostel and it was a good experience. The cubicles give you some kind of privacy with a convenient bedside light bedside mirror and plug so you can disconnect from the rest of the people. There is a convenient Kitchen and all in all a very good experience

Towels are not given unless explicitly asked for so you may find yourself having to get out in the cold going to Reception to get them.. and hope that it's not closed.

An average hostel. Not great, not terrible.

Super regular hostel experience. If you stayed in hostels before, you won't be surprised by anything.

I believe that there are bed bugs, but we can't prove it. My wife is super allergic to bed bugs and she had some very particular bite marks after our one-night stay. As I said, I didn't see them, but they may be there. The hostel is clean in general, but sometimes it happens when you share rooms. I trust the staff, and I believe that they inspect it, even though it's something out of their control.

Amazing stay

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, I felt like home. The structure is really good, a good equipped kitchen, fresh drinkable water, spacious bed in the dormitory with everything I need. Also the location is perfect, right on the Main Street and 5 mins walk from the station. I absolutely loved my stay there!

Amazing hostel experience - great staff!

This hostel was amazing. Staff was SUPER helpful to us with luggage storage and hiking instructions. The room was clean and the beds were great and spacious. Location was perfect. We will definitely stay here again!

Amazing staff, beautiful property, great location!

starting to say that I loved the staff - the owner wife and husband! So lovely, they start helping you and planning your trip to the area together with you! Basically they sit down with you, explain you all the routes and etc so you are immediately aware of what to do while you stay. I would even stay there longer! Rooms were very clean and nice and I loved the rules such as keeping the shoes out of the rooms keeping it clean all the time. They even give free lock to lock your locker. thank you dears!

Excellent, clean hostel

The dormitory was clean with large, lockable lockers under the bed. The bunks were well constructed with curtains, light, and charging point. Bathrooms were clean. Sociable common area with good cooking facilities

Loved our visit to Meteora and stay at this hostel - highly recommend

The owner/manager, who also runs the cafe next door, is awesome! Best customer service we had in Greece. He shows everyone to their room, helps explain where to park and even gave us tips where to stop for coffee on our way back to Athens. Great location in Kalabaka. We never had a wait for bathrooms/showers/kitchen.

My husband and I shared with 4 other younger guys and the room smelled like feet whenever the window was closed and aircon on. I guess that balances out the cheap price you pay for sharing a room :-)

Great Value Hostel in Super Location.

Clean, great communal area with fresh drinking water, tea and coffee, and plenty of cooking utensils etc. Washing machine, good range of people in the hostel. Helpful staff, and very central. Parking in a street nearby. On the downside, it was noisy outside at night, though it was a public holiday, so this may be why.

Wonderful hostel with super friendly staff

I would say one of the best or maybe even the best hostel I‘ve ever been in. The staff is super friendly and really helpful with information about meteora. It‘s super clean and there‘s a lot of space around the bed to put stuff. The lockers are also really big. The curtains on the bed give you privacy.

Great location, clean, safe, comfortable, helpful staff and close to walks

Location was great on Main Street, near bus terminal and walks. Staff were very helpful on arrival and during my stay. Great to have access to a kitchen. All very clean and great lockers under bed to keep all belongings safe. Comfortable bed. Supermarket about 20m away.

Excellent hostel and hosts

Excellent location 5mins walk from train station where the bus stops. Beds were very comfortable with big lockers and privacy curtains. Well equipped kitchen was a bonus & nice place to meet people. Supermarket across the road behind Shell service station. Thanks George and Stella. Keep up the great work in providing a fantastic hostel in Kalambaka.

Just note the local buses are currently not running the loop service from Kalambaka to the six monasteries. Half day tours by van cost €30. Walking is the best way to see the monasteries.

Fantastic Hostel with Amazing Hosts!

We had an amazing stay at this hostel, and a big part of that was due to the wonderful owners, Stella and George. They were incredibly helpful and friendly, offering excellent tips on how to explore the area, where to eat, and what to do to make the most of my time there. Their suggestions were spot-on! The hostel itself had great facilities. The bed was comfortable, and the privacy curtain was a nice touch for added comfort. The free locker made the stay even more enjoyable. The check-in/check-out process was seamless, as the reception is conveniently located inside the coffee shop next door. We even had the option to store our bags after check-out, free of charge, which was helpful. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the area!

Would recommend the hostel to everyone heading to Meteora.

Best place to meet people from all over. Location was perfect. Hosts are the most caring people. On Easter Sunday the owners roasted a lamb and gave us all the information about the tradition and we had the great opportunity to try the meal.

Best hostel in Greece

Best hostel i've slept at in Greece. Super comfy beds, bunk beds that don't move or make noise when the botton or the upper person in the bunk moves. Owners were friendly and were willing to help in any way possible. Great atmosphere and small but very useful kitchen. 10/10 would recommend!

Stella & George were very kind and helpful. They helped us booked our bus tickets to Tirana from Kalambaka, provided the info we needed and even let us use the empty rooms with no extra charges.

The location is easily accessible from the train station. It was nice to have privacy for each bed space with the curtains. The lockers were spacious and locks were provided. The toilet and bath were clean. They also give a map with tips for hiking routes.

It was a little bit difficult/tricky to look for the check-in location but it is just the building right beside the gate

it's a great place, i am very happy about my stay. to start with the basics: the facilities such as berths were very good, with a curtain to close your own space lighted space. luggage cages were big enough, though bit squeeky which was causing some distress when opening them while others were sleeping. toilets sufficient, hostel is not too big. kitchen to cook, garden to hang around and meet people. certainly the biggest pro of this place is the social side of it: the hosts are very friendly, talkative, attentive , how else to put it. youll get the information you need about the meteora route and buses and bakeries etc and, and you can stay a little longer to chat about this and that if you like. (coffee in the bar/reception part, while putting the luggage into storage space) the place is open minded, people interact, talk to each other, play and get out together. it's not a forced must but a possibility. i highly recommend this to everybody whos on the go with eyes and mind opened.

Excellent location and value for money

Excellent location. Located in the town center, walking distance to the train station and sklavenitis supermarket. The bunk bed is spacious with privacy curtain. Room is not cramped with too many beds therefore there's sufficient space to place your luggage. Towel is provided upon request. There's a common kitchen where you can prepare and have your meal. Basic condiments are available for free, there are also free stuff left by previous guest that you can use. There's also cute cats for companion as well :) Check in is at the restaurant next door. Showers and toilets are kept clean. Basic toiletries like body wash and shampoo are provided
