Lack of Basic Amenities and Hot Water Issues

Unfortunately, our stay did not meet basic expectations. There was no hot water at the sink at all, and while the staff were aware of the issue, it had clearly been neglected rather than repaired. Hot water in the shower was also not available at all times, which was inconvenient even for a short stay. The room itself was extremely basic and suitable only for sleeping. It had no view, no balcony, and access to a shared refrigerator rather than a private one. Overall, it lacked comfort and amenities. Thankfully, we stayed only one night, which made the experience manageable, but we would not choose to stay longer or return.

Outside lights switched off automatically just after 11pm. Would have preferred this to be later as we enjoy sitting outside in the evenings reading etc.

Value for Money

Location is perfect! Restaurants, bakeries and mini market in 2-min walk from the rooms. Some hiking trails start from there as well. Lovely rock view! There is also parking for the customers which is very convenient. good soundproofing walls and comfy bed!! Bathroom was fine, warm water anytime and water pressure also great! Very good for a 1-night stay.

There was a damp smell of mold in the room because there is only one window and not much sunlight coming through, which has caused mold to form on the walls behind the bed. The wooden cover exacerbates the issue, I suppose. Fortunately, the weather was good, so we slept with the window open to avoid breathing it in. There is mosquito net on the window.

The people where nice but the description and pictures could be better.

The location to hiking trails was nice.

I was mislead by the description I was under the impression that we would have a private kitchen . It was more like a motel room and we would' have access to the kitchen if we told them a head of time Along with the other 2 rooms.

Kastraki is a nice village to stay in meteores. Quiet, charming, with nice tavernas Bloutsos rooms is quiet too. Confortable and simple. Parking lot.

Place is very well located in center of historical village next to the hiking routes, boulangeries, cafes and restaurants. There is a free reserved parking and a little common outdoor space to take coffee. Room is small, but clean and has all the necessities. Bathroom is spacious. Owner has coffe place near by where you can enjoy nice coffee.

The mattress and room could see a little upgrade.

A comfortable place to sleep for a night in a Magical Place.

The location is amazing! There’s also an amazing restaurant right across and bakery just beside the guesthouse. Tony is an amazing host, he helped us arranged the taxi whenever needed. He’s always contactable. There’s blankets n towels provided too.

I wished they can provide us with drinkable hot water and bottled water too. The kettle inside our room was pretty much spoilt and extremely dirty.

the room was comfortable and if you rent a scooter nearby the location is perfect - not too far from meteora and if you like peace and quiet, not in central kastraki either.

Excellent location to explore Meteora. Good wifi and value for money. Good for 1 night.

Room is very basic and although it was clean it was a bit old and dusty. We had to keep the window open for fresh air.
