We loved everything about the ryokan - the location, the beautiful Japanese decor, the exceptional cleanliness and the excellent onsen experience. The staff was polite and helpful and in particular Miku-san, Karen-san and Rina-San stood out for their warmth.
We are vegetarian and had informed the ryokan beforehand. Whilst meals were included in our package, the ryokan expressed inability to prepare vegetarian fare given the holiday week. We were provided a vegetarian meal only one night and for breakfast on the last day. The two meals were exceptional- delicious, very aesthetically presented and seasonal and we enjoyed them very much. It would have made our stay perfect if we were provided vegetarian meals everyday of our stay.

The room was beautiful and in excellent condition. The panoramic ocean view was exceptional also.
The food was very disappointing, and I ended up with food poisoning, which was the first time ever for me in Japan after 15 years.
The staff were all very nice, but the food was extremely bland and unimpressive. The tables and chairs were also too small and very uncomfortable.
