This hotel has nice big onsen areas. The location is right at one end of the small main street and there are many restaurants nearby. Also a short walk from Hell Valley and other major sights of the city/area. We had a really good time!
For good and for worse the room was very Japanese. For us that was exactly what we wanted to try (the real ryokan / onsen experience) but for guest more in favor of western luxury this Japanese style might seem overly simplistic.
This hotel has nice and big onsen areas for both males and females but unfortunately nothing for the two sexes together - i.e. standard Japanese style. A great shame for western families, who would probably typically prefer to be in the hot spas together.

施設が綺麗。
おすすめのお茶漬けのスープ置き場が、お粥の隣だったり、お粥とご飯が離れていたり、お味噌汁だけが違う場所に置かれていたり、わかりづらい。
使ったお皿を置く置き場を作って欲しい。
