A quick and fun getaway

Good option in Lembongan

First of all, the review given here are for Indonesia and cannot be compared with other accomodations in other parts of the world. Therefore, if you choose a property that has an open bathroom, don't be surprised if you suddenly encounter a gecko or some other living creature in the bathroom.:-) The bungalows are perfectly located, near to the Mushroom and the Tamarind beaches and to the port, although really quiet, even at night. We spent 4 nights there, towels have not been changed. Very comfortable bed, baldachin is useful because of the mosquitos. Nice and clean swimming pool with umbrellas and sunbeds. Breakfast is ok, limited options. The possibility of swimming is significantly influenced by the tide of the ocean. This is also true for the island of Lembongan. Mushroom bay is the most suitable for swimming, mainly at low tide. Tamarind 2 beach is calm and quiet, only the eastern end is suitable for swimming. We've had a great dinner at Palm Grove Villas restaurant.

Sink tap in the bathroom needs to be replaced. The airconditioning was reallly noisy.

Gem of a hotel

Great gem of a hotel. The bungalows are very clean, comfortable and well designed. We loved the outside bathroom particularly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They also organised us taxis and private trips at good prices.

Nothing. Its 10 minute walk to the nearest beach but we knew this. If it was at the beach it would be perfect as we hadn't appreciated how busy the road would be to the beach.

Simple but lovely little slide of paradise!

Cassava Bungalows were the perfect choice for our stay in Nusa Lembongan. we stayed for 8 nights and would absolutely return again. The staff were all wonderful, very friendly, and helpful. They provided us with clean towels every couple of days, clean beach towels after a snorkelling trip, organised taxis and hired us a scooter so we could visit other parts of the island (Rp100k per day). Breakfast is a simple offering of fresh fruit, tea, coffee or juice and then your choice of eggs or pancakes all freshly prepared for you. The property itself is kept exceptionally clean and is well appointed being walking distance to Tamarind Beach, Mushroom Bay and many restaurants.

With a couple of tweaks, Cassava would be perfect - update of the aircons and the mattress. We found the mattress quite firm and the placement of the aircon and age of it meant it was always blowing directly on us and either too cold or not cold enough - there seemed to be no happy medium. Additionally, the different cycles it went through meant it was quite noisy, waking us up a couple of times each night. It would also be great to have a safe that is fixed in place for securing passports and valuables. As I said, small items easily rectified and didn't take away from our overall love for Cassava.

A little over priced but still a nice basic place to relax for a few days 😌

Really nice staff ( Andre was friendly and helpful ) and nice pool to relax around. The rooms are quiet basic but were ckean and comfortable the breakfast was nice too.

In our room there was an open wardrobe to hang clothes up on , what would be good is if they had a few shelves on the same wall to put clothes on , easy job! I also thought the $80 Aud we paid was a bit high for what it is , a bit over priced but it is high season 🙃

It was super quiet at night, the bungalow was beautiful, the water hot, there was a fridge, location although not central, was close enough to everything, so, all in all, a fantastic place

Cassava Getaway

Lovely setting with bungalows around the pool. Friendly and accommodating staff. Short walk to the "hidden beach" of beautiful white sand, and the next bay was Mushroom Bay. At the end of the road was also a small beach and the opportunity to watch a boat being built without a single nail being used. Thank you, we enjoyed our stay and will return when able!

Would have been good to have stayed a few more days. Access to kettle in the room would have been good. A TV, though not essential, would have been good when not feeling well.

Quiet and relaxing. Lovely friendly family run bungalows. Basic but comfortable. Putu and his wife were lovely and very helpful. Walking distance to Mushroom and Tamarind Beaches . Good breakfast and plenty of Warung’s around to eat lunch/dinner at. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back 😎.

The sheets are clean but probably need updating and maybe better lighting inside bungalow as quite dark in the room.

Fantastic hosts, very clean , great breakfasts and beautiful gardens.

Amazing hosts, Putu and Kuma took care of absolutely everything. From the ferry pick up, to organizing snorkeling and boats to take us surfing to an island tour. A really lovely family that work hard to keep the place in great condition. Very clean with outstanding breakfasts. Gardens really make it too. On a quiet street with friendly locals. Definitely coming back.

Great stay

Our bungalow was super comfortable, the bed was great, really enjoyed the outdoor bathroom, was nice to have a shower under the moonlight. The hotel is super close to Mushroom Bay. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had a great stay.

Loved our stay here

Sometimes I read reviews and I can tell that it's one of their first moments in Bali, hence I review this after being in Bali for 1,5 months and having seen many different accommodations. I stayed with my friend at Cassave and we really loved it. Honestly I felt really sad when leaving. Nusa Lembongan is definitely my new favourite place. The room was great, we did welcome a few bugs with the open bathroom and the shower was not always warm but you're at a tiny island and these things are just part of the island and for us really didn't outweigh the pros. :) The room was a bit dark if you'd wish to work there for example but if you are here to enjoy yourself it is PERFECT! You can also watch the sunrise from your bedroom and see the sky change colours. The hidden beach a few minutes walking was absolutely a dream. The breakfast was good, the pool was great, nice restaurants with live music around the corner and really easy to rent a scooter. The staff was also very friendly! Would definitely come back here!

- One of the BEST value for money options in Lembongan for sure! - Awesome staff, supernice family helpful with scooter rental, ferry tickets, laundry and anything else you might need! - Helpful with recommending sights to see around Lembongan and Ceningan - Great Wifi, the best in Bali so far! Sports streaming, online conference calls, and everything else worked perfectly! - Nice pool and well kept gardens! really chill vibes - Good location with a lot of awesome (and cheap) restaurants nearby!

I would totally go back

The hotel is a bit off the beaten path, but enjoyably so (plus Lembongan is a very small place!). It’s super well maintained with this great tropical lush vibe to the decor. I think it’s a husband-wife team that manages and tends the place. They make every effort to accommodate guests needs, which I appreciated.

The only complaint I had was breakfast. Kinda sparse. You’ll do better to just eat at the many solid options nearby.

Superb

The overall vibe of the place of amazing. I loved the look of the small huts around the pool. The rooms were cosy and I like the mosquito net. The owners were very nice and helpful. It was also very close the Hidden beach and Mushroom beach but still away from the most frequent areas.

The bathroom did not feel as clean. The foot rug in the bathroom looked a bit dirty. Also it is a shame, the the accommodation offers only breakfasts and few drinks during the day. It would be nice to have more options for evenings :) It was not a big problem, because there was a lot of place all around.

Lovely clean bungalows in a small family run site. Nice pool to relax by and pretty garden. Walking distance to mushroom bay and a number of restaurants. Great value.

Loved our stay here, extending it for a further night whilst there. The family that owned it were very helpful - helping us sort fast boats & scooter rental for the time we were there. Good location - lovely and quiet at night, with enough going on in Mushroom bay to keep us entertained!

Superb homestay with a fantastic family

Putu and his family made me super welcome from the start. They were more than willing to assist with my request, despite being short notice. The location is fabulous, nice and quiet with 2 x small secluded beaches at the end of the road. The rooms were well maintained and I loved the bathroom outside. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
