Cozy place to stay a bit aside from the main crowds

Guidecca is just a few water bus stops from the city center but it’s noticeably more quiet and cozy place to stay. The host is super friendly and helpful, the room has enough space for your stuff.

The lights in the bathroom would sometimes turn off because the movement sensors won’t detect you in the shower.

Perfect B&B for a few days in Venice!

The hospitality of the owner was amazing, the location is absolutely wonderful and easy to find and get to. The location is very close to the San Marco square with a short boat ride and it enjoys the calmness of not being in the main island. We received information in advance on how to buy the vaporetto tickets, which was very helpful. The breakfast was perfect! We would for sure come back and recommend this to anyone visiting Venice.

Lovely host, great quality stay

Exceptional property located a short vaporetto ride from Venice’s iconic landmarks. Host was lovely and made sure I felt at home, giving many helpful recommendations and local tips. My room exceeded expectations and was kept spotless. For breakfast she provided an array of breads, the best croissants I’d ever tasted (made fresh each morning from a nearby bakery) and other options such as fruit/cereal. Very happy with my stay and definitely recommend.

My stay in venice was a complete success also because of my stay in this location. The host was more than friendly and always there for questions and concerns. Breakfast was amazing and the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was amazing. I can highly recommend to stay.

Unfortunately you have to take a waterbus to reach the hotel. So it was a little bit complicated but you get into it real quick. The later in the evening, the more difficult it gets to grab a boat, but line NO 2 is the one to look up for. Fortunately, the host is always helping out with problems.

Very modern room and bathroom. Lovely fresh breakfast from a local bakery. Great location just a few minutes walk to a water bus stop, lovely restaurants and shops. Fantastic host!

Laura, the host, is a very nice person who will help you the best way she can but I didnt get a good impression, overall. The TV was tiny and so was the room for over 100€ plus taxes! She didnt expect me to arrive with a suitcase and a carry-on, which was very upsetting for me to hear, traveling solo around Europe, all the way from South America. She expected me to arrive with a backpack. I was quite put off by her repeated comments the moment I arrived extremely fatigued, as I didnt think it was her business, when I see bunches of travelers roaming the streets with more suitcases than myself, as in couples, especially. Not a nice welcome! All she should care about is our comfort and her income.

The fact there was no mention there was a blanket included stored away on a bottom drawer and I love having a blanket even with the AC. I even told her I was cold my first 2 nights and she didnt mention there was a blanket in my room stored away. I found the island itself boring. I suggest going to Lido Island 30 mins away on the Water Taxi. You'll have more fun and the beach is right there! The people are also friendlier! I guess it also depends on what you like to do. As a solo traveler, Lido is best!

Highly recommended B&B

The hostess is very friendly; you immediately feel at home. There was no elevator, but our bags were taken upstairs by the host. The room was tidy, with all necessary facilities and ample space and very quit! I traveled with my mom and especially looked for a room with 2 separate beds, which is not so easy to find. Also the badroom was big enough and very clean. Every morning the hostess served breakfast, taking special wishes into account. And with free advice and tips about what to visit, the weather conditions for that day and books and maps about Venice. Thanks for your hospitality!

Good location, spacious room, good quality toiletries in the bathroom, breakfast is Italian (so no ham or eggs) but good choice (yoghurt, croissants, pastries, bread with jam/nutella, fruits, etc.). The landlady was very friendly and we felt that she cared that we have a pleasant stay.

We enjoyed our stay. Our lovely host served us breakfast every morning consisting of fresh coffee, juice, fresh croissants, bread, yogurt and there was fruit if you wanted. She also really helped us navigate Venice giving us helpful ideas of what to do on our short stay. She helped us navigate the water taxis too. Fillipos place is located on the island of Giudecca. It is a short vaporetto (ferry) ride to the island of San Marco. We liked coming back here every night and getting away from the crowds on the main island. There are several nice restaurants in Giudecca as well. We would definitely stay here again.
