The location was great - really easy to grab a coffee or something to eat footsteps from the houseboat. We really enjoyed Sheffield having navigated the heaving summer crowds in Oxford, Edinburgh and Keswick before hand. Sheffield is a 'city in transition and we rreally enjoyed exploring it's history and the city centre, although the council museum was undergoing rennovation and we didn't like the current very limited exhibition which has very limited appeal to 95% of the population. We loved the open streets of Sheffield and enjoyed the gallery (and icecreams!) at Wintergarden and found a wonderful steakhouse, Miller and Carter, in the city centre and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The houseboat host was really helpful with good directions to the houseboat and instructions once we got there. Everything worked well. Thank you.
We would have liked a few more supplies, (eg tea bags) and a way to make proper coffee would be appreciated (eg a pod mchine, stove top espresso or a plunger). Also you need to make sure to bring all staple supplies with you.

The boat was lovely and quaint. Everything was available. Location is ideal. Owner was amazing. Definitely stay here again
