Great little escape, with really helpful and nice staff.

Really easy to find, great location. The room was comfortable and fresh. Lovely bathroom. The pubs had so much character, and the grounds are amazing…although we didn’t get to explore due to the snow.

It was a little cold when we got there, but the hosts gave us an extra heater which really improved the experience and made it very cosy.

Everything we had to eat was of a high standard and the room was perfect for our stay . Staff very friendly and helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them.

Exceeded my expectation. worth a visit

Great location, we had a powercut on the first night and they still produced foods and brilliant service. Rooms were surprisingly cosy. Nice clean and new bathrooms with fast hot water and good parking.

Not good as had very little sleep. Fire alarm at 2am, no hot water and then got charged extra for breakfast

Room was not checked properly before arrival so there was no hot water to have a shower in the morning. Breakfast was apparently included in the price but only from the cold buffet, hot food was extra.

Welcomed with smiles! They went Over & beyond!

Breakfast was included it was a continental breakfastwhich was outstanding I’ve never had one with so much choice! They also had a full English and other hot choices and for vegetarians and vegans for only £6.50 which we thought was great value for money! Special touch the hotel messaged me telling me to call them when leaving Alton Towers so that if we wanted food, they could pre-order it for us and it will be cooking while on our journey and our table was booked! Never had this before at any other hotel. And welcomed with big smiles, amazing staff.! well done dog and Partridge! We will be back!

When booking the hotel, I did a compare prices of three different companies booking.com was who I chose to go with they were the most expensive but when booking it wasn’t clear that the breakfast was continental, so I believed it was a cooked breakfast included! The other two companies I was comparing with less pricey but clearly stated continental breakfast so this is why I went for booking.com. This isn’t the hotels fault but we were not disappointed with the breakfast at all as the continental was outstanding and having a cooked breakfast was well worth the money.

A little gem of a place in the middle of nowhere but nice and relaxing.

Breakfast had a good all-round choice. Dinner was excellent. The staff were well trained and very friendly and efficient. Would certainly recommend a stay here.

Outstanding location, good staff, poor food, dismal wall insulation

Good hospitality and the location is perfect

The food was absolutely below par. Microwaved curry and the 'continental breakfast' was slices of cheddar, cereal and pre-wrapped Aldi pastries. The rooms were fine for me and my son to crash in after a good day's hiking, but the walls did nothing to shield us from the obviously so far child-free couple next door.

A great affordable one night place to stay on a visit to Alton Towers or for walking locally.

The staff were lovely and the people that ran the place were very welcoming and helpful. They accommodated our dogs and tried to make our stay as good as possible.

The mattress was very uncomfortable in the bedroom and the rooms were very small but it was fine for 1 night but couldn't have stayed any longer.

Dinner was excellent, staff were very friendly, location was a bit out of the way but beautiful scenery. Room was good and beds very comfortable.

Bathroom had no grab rail or non slips mats, so was difficult to get out of shower. Whenever we turned the tap on it was very noisy

Great Inn in a good location for Alton towers.

The beds were really comfy, and we all slept well. It's handy having parking at your room and the free breakfast had plenty of choice. The location worked really well for us. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and really enjoyed our meal. The staff were really nice and I would stay again.

The rooms were self contained motel style units with parking right by the door.

The room smelled a bit musty on arrival, but that cleared on opening all the windows. There is nothing much wrong with it, it's just not great value in comparison to other venues.
