A nice romantic break

Average at best, could be better with a few fixes

Modernised bathroom. Convenient having food options downstairs however…

We were told we were the only guests that evening but they couldn’t accommodate us for dinner downstairs and didn’t seem to be making much of an effort in this regard which is a shame. We eventually got a take away from the restaurant but that’s not ideal given the cost of the room per night and the Thai food. The bed was also extremely uncomfortable, it felt like it was collapsing onto itself. These are easy fixes to make the room and experience much better. We wanted to address these issues with reception staff but unfortunately it was a ghost town in the morning.

Wonderful stay in close proximity of Alton Towers

Lovely room which was clean and tidy with a nice selection of tea and coffee with biscuits. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is an extra charge (£15) each, but worth every penny.

We had a wonderful stay, the hotel was clean, well located and the staff were very accomodating

The hotel is located 5mins drive away from Alton Towers so ideal! The room itself was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. We had the family room with the bunk bed which meant our 8 year old could have her own room all to herself. It was an incredibly cosy and comfortable nights sleep. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Wonderful, comfy stay in ideal location

Hotel was lovely! So comfortable, clean and the ladies working in restaurant were so friendly. Bed was incredibly comfortable, room had a wonderful view and the bathroom was spotless too.

Only small thing was our room was right above the bar and with the hotel being so small we could hear every word that was said, chairs moving etc. It was a saturday night though so to be expected and noise did stop around 11pm.

Breakfast should had been included in the room price. Not paying £15 pp extra so didn’t have breakfast.

All in all, I would highly recommend this accomodation.

The location was fantastic. Beautiful little country spot. Great Thai restaurant within the hotel/Pub and if you don't feel like Thai food, you can go next to door to a typical country pub, called the Talbot, which has traditional pub food.

Lift does not work and the steps to go up to the rooms are steep and a little tricky to navigate, if you have a bad back, like I do.

really lovely venue in beautiful surroundings decorated to a high standard. We ate at the in house Thai restaurant which was exceptional food with very friendly efficient staff

for business travel the breakfast could have been earlier but staff made allowances for us having to leave earlier than breakfast started ( 8.30am) & left a cold selection out for us which was a lovely touch.

A wonderfully warm and quirky wee stay

We had such a lovely stay at The Bridge House! The room was really clean, cosy and perfect for a night away. Everyone we spoke to was super friendly and welcoming, which made it feel really relaxed. Huge shoutout to Ollie — we accidentally left a toothbrush behind and he actually messaged us to let us know and offered to post it back. Such a small thing but honestly so thoughtful and really made an impression. Would 100% stay here again — proper lovely place and great people 😊

Calm after Alton Towers!

Absolutely everything! I would highly recommend the Bridge House Hotel. The room was spotless..the bed was extremely comfy,the staff were great,the location is stunning. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice...again wonderful staff and service. Extra touches in the room(tea/coffee/etc.,)much more than usual...ample amounts of everything,bottled water,lots of biccys😋all beautifully presented and very well received😊

It’s a great place to stay.

Absolutely fabulous great staff the breakfast was superb they can’t do enough for you it’s a great place to stay the bed was really comfortable and the shower was great too. It’s a shame we were there meeting up with family elsewhere so we didn’t get to try the Tai Restaurant but the menu looked fabulous we will definitely be going back!

We had an excellent stay! The check-in process was a breeze and from the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming – they truly made us feel at home. The room was spotless and the location was ideal for exploring the area and/or attending Alton Towers. Breakfast was a real highlight, absolutely delicious with plenty of choice. Breakfast is £15 per person, but it’s absolutely worth it – fresh, delicious, with a great selection, and really reasonable for the quality. The chef (I am so sorry but I didn't catch your name) was not only talented but also such a joy to chat with, adding a lovely personal touch to our morning. The food throughout our stay looked (and tasted) amazing. We ate at The Talbot (just next door) one evening and were really impressed – a great selection on the menu with generous portions that didn’t disappoint. The gardens are absolutely stunning, so peaceful and beautifully kept. We also had the pleasure of meeting the gardener, who was equally welcoming and clearly passionate about their work. It’s rare to stay somewhere where you feel so welcomed, seen, and appreciated. We would love to return the favour one day. A truly memorable and relaxing stay – we’d come back in a heartbeat!

Fantastic breakfast, Extremely comfortable bed, lovely hosts, nice little pub, connected to the hotel and had a great nights sleep, before, Alton Towers. Would definitely stay again!

Unfortunately, the shower was really tricky to use and the pressure was low, but, everything else as amazing.

Great location, good pub stay.

Location is fabulous, right on the river with a beer garden that goes right down to it, very pretty. Very busy pub too with great food next door. Parking could probably be an issue on a really busy evening, but I found a spot ok. Room was fine and comfortable bed and good shower, breakfast was perhaps a little pricey as it is an extra and not included. But that is me being finnickity.

Breakfast included, working lift as bedroom is up very steep stairs and lift is just for housekeeping purposes, but I suspect if I had asked then there would have been help available, the staff were very helpful.

Staff were lovely. Easy to get to Alton towers. Great views. Modern decor. Room was beautiful. Bed was super comfortable! Would definitely recommend to everyone to come here. Sad we had to leave after 2 great nights staying here. Will definitely be revisiting!
