The Bay Tree Bed & Breakfast

The room was lovely and well decked out with anything that you might need - especially if you’d forgotten anything. The hosts were really lovely and helpful and kind. Breakfast was excellent and extra home baked cakes were amazing. Property was set in a beautiful spot. You could watch the birds eat whilst having breakfast. Very peaceful yet close to Alton Towers.

Anita and Mick were the perfect hosts and thought of all the little details that made our stay so wonderful. The menu for the breakfasts, cooked and continental were excellent. Anita is a fabulous baker and made freshly baked goods everyday of our stay. The bathroom was fully stocked with toothpaste, haircare products, beauty products and toiletries - perfect for when you forget something. Towels were so soft and a make-up remover face cloth was provided. Perfect after a long day at alton towers - the b&b is a great location only 7mins in the car to alton towers. The bed was super comfy - extra pillows and blankets were in the cupboard. A handy air-conditioning fan was provided which was great as it was very warm this weekend. We also had a fridge full with still/sparkling waters, milk and on the table there is a kettle with a great selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate, fresh water, sugars, biscuits, mints and Lindt chocolates. It really helped that there were ironing facilities and a smart tv with all the apps. In the lounge area, there's plenty seating and dining area to eat and relax, lots of games to play and books to read. Another main fridge fully stocked with juices, milk and water for thw guests, crisps and sweet bags for the kids too. The b&b garden is really beautiful especially in the evenings when the sun is setting. The area is really quite even with the windows open. Very clean home and even when other guest are in their rooms you cannot hear them its very sound proof. There is also a folder with lots of restaurants and takeaways that are well known with the B&B. Myself and my son had two days back to back at alton towers and getting a quick easy food delivery to the house was a god send. However, if your dining out, the restaurants look fabulous have great reviews and only a few minutes away in the car and no more than a 13 min walk if you fancy having some drinks with food.

In all honestly, myself and my 13yr old son have zero complaints. Everything was perfect.

Couldn't thank Anita and Mick enough for such a lovely getaway for my husband's birthday trip. The attention to details and the little touches truly makes this place a 10/10. They both made the place feel very oriented around their guests and their comfort. Would recommend this place to anyone. Breakfasts were amazing and included options for everyone’s tastes. Homemade cakes for a mid day snack and even a book full of handmade hiking maps. I could go on….

Couldn’t fault it

There wasn’t a single thing that we didn’t like….the family room was huge. Plenty of room for myself, my partner & my two daughters, aged 12 and 14. The bathroom was of a great size with both a bath and walk in shower with fresh towels for us all. All amenities you could wish for within the room (kettle - tea, coffee & hot chocolate, Lindt chocolates & biscuits too). There was also a cupboard with crisps and chocolates, etc in the dining area, we were just asked to pop something in the honesty box if we took anything. Absolutely lovely place!!

That we didn’t stay there for longer!!! 😉
