Best hotel stay in Torquay

Everything was superb, gorgeous room, all areas spotlessly clean, the breakfast was very fresh and tasty and the hosts, Martin and Kyla were friendly, welcoming, very accommodating to our needs and generally lovely people. We will definitely be back when next visiting the area

Lovely clean, modern and friendly hotel close to the centre of Torquay

The owners have clearly spent a huge amount of money and effort into building this business, the hotel is modern, clean and has a really nice personality to it. We stayed in the Sunset room on the ground floor which for the price we paid was good value for money. There’s a really nice bar where we had a few drinks before heading out for dinner and a really nice breakfast room for a properly big and assorted breakfast in the morning. This will be our go to place for our next trip to Torquay.

We loved our stay and the hosts were excellent, looking forward to booking again very soon.

The property was so beautiful, well maintained and spotlessly clean. Location was great, with only a short distance to the beach and promenade, not forgetting bars and restaurants. It’s set in a quiet location but easily reachable to the lively buzz of Torquay if required. The outside area was immaculate with a heated pool and sun loungers, there was also large umbrellas for those not wanting to be in the direct sunlight. Parking was also a bonus, there were spaces on the car park and on the street too.

Beautifully decorated room with a lovely practical bathroom. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Wonderful breakfast (including a daily joke). Access to the beachfront in easy walking distance (a couple of hilly bits but nothing unmanageable).

Great place with lovely hosts

Amazing stay at Devon Court. Great hosts, lovely comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfasts. The swimming pool is the cherry on the cake if you are lucky enough to get good weather. Location is excellent with a 5 minute stroll to the seafront and about 15 minutes to the harbour.

Beautiful little hotel with ten rooms so you really feel like you get the personal treatment. Breakfast was pre order the night before and if it isn’t on the menu they will do their utmost to get it. Stayed 2 nights and was able to have a dip in the pool both days as the weather was wonderful.

Excellent!

An exceptional break at the Devon Court. We had a lovely time and everything we needed was catered for. After our first breakfast, we downsized to a small portion but it was still substantial. Do not forget to pack your bathers; the pool is lovely and just the place to relax after a hot day out and about. Thank you for looking after us so well!

Luxury night away in a fantastic hotel

Immaculate throughout. The bed was sooo comfy. The swimming pool is an added bonus. Everything was clean and it felt very warm and welcoming as soon as we entered. Kyla and Martin were great hosts. Nothing too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious. Please try the waffle. Great location. Close to the beach and in walking distance to the shops and harbour. Very quiet, no unwelcoming noises heard throughout our stay.

Best stay in Torquay 5 stars

Superb staff, made to feel so welcome and all needs met. Would highly recommend just wish we had more time and had taken our swimmers as the pool looked fantastic. Thank you once again, Kyla and Martin. we will be back again and may have to bring some others with us.

A Perfect Stay by the Beach

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property, just a stone’s throw from the beach. From the moment we arrived, the hosts Kyla and Martin made us feel completely at home — their warmth and friendliness truly stood out and made all the difference. The property is very well maintained, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and nicely equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious and served quickly — a perfect start to the day! It genuinely felt like a home away from home, and we’re already looking forward to coming back and enjoy heated swimming pool . Highly recommended!

Courtly Devon Court, Torquay

Devon Court is just the right distance from Torquay's sea: 15 mins there, 18 mins back [partly uphill]. We loved the spring flowers visible from the breakfast room. The whole property was subtly decorated and easy to use. I liked the electric shower so much that i hope to have one the same. [Alas, we forgot to take a photo of the underside of the unit where the info is!] March is a great time to stay, especially if the weather is fine.. and there is less demand for onsite parking, too. Martin turns out a splendid Eggs Florentine.. and i was grateful Kyla suggested having it served on gluten-free crumpets, as i find muffins too 'cluggy'. Typically perfect suggestion.

Wonderful Experience

The Dean Court Hotel was a very nice experience with the owners being very welcoming. Location is well placed and easy to find. A shot walk to the Harbour and beach.

There were no issues with the Hotel Parking on site would be tight during busy periods Nothing else to add
