Spent most of the time out of the hotel

We like the location as not far to walk to main part of the town

We stay in room 2 upstairs there was rusty shower and rusty radiator, the door to the bedroom bang when some one went passed our room to the point we had to put the chair up against it , the toilet system didn’t work was dripping through toilet all night , no fridge didn’t see cleaner , no one speak to about the toilet , went use the inside pool was freezing so was the steam room

The “crafts room” was literally just a big hall with seating in the far corner, the area genuinely scared me, the bathrooms where tiny, it wasn’t disability friendly I have fibromyalgia so struggled a lot, the beds where just springs and a cover of the top, the pillows was literally just two small separate pillows in one pillow case to look like a big pillow, the inside of the kettle was disgusting, our cup had a chip around the rim, the white draws has big chunks out of it. Won’t be even tempted to go again. The staff where absent a lot

Repairs needed in my room - damaged bathroom floor, wash basin loose on wall, extension lead on very low shelf where water being used (kettle), bathroom door difficult to open and close.

The man on desk was polite.

Booked a bigger room and it was tiny, mattress was knackered and could feel springs through it.pool was freezing with tiles on bottom all coming off so we didn't use it. Jacuzzi was full of leaves with lid on sauna and steam rooms were not on so couldn't use.there was a noise going all night in the hallway every few minutes creaking so we had no sleep at all.really disappointed even though it was cheap we did expect to be able to sleep and we had been out for food and a few drinks so couldnt leave until morning.overall it was bad!!

Not as described in the overview on booking.com and in photos, very run down. Litter all over the front carpark, no lighting in the carpark. Weeds growing out of the gutters, paint peeling. Very unsafe area with people openly taking drugs on the pavement outside. They use a code based system for the main front door and to each room in hotel/hostel that does not work properly

Ridiculous

Easy to book

The kettle in the room literally had excrement inside. Ridiculously dirty inside the room. No mattress protector on a bed that had major staining all across! We asked for a different room but told it wasn’t possible. The manager then said he would get another kettle. We then saw the manager wiping the kettle out and trying to clean it! We did not stay and decided to leave!

Friendly welcome and a relaxing atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel felt peaceful which made for a pleasant stay. Good location for exploring Torquay, and I had a really smooth and easy check-in. A nice place for a short stay.

Really enjoyed my stay at Crofton House Hotel. The room was clean and cosy, the staff were welcoming, and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. Great value and a good base for Torquay — I’d recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

I had a really pleasant stay. The room was tidy and comfortable, and the hotel had a calm and welcoming feel to it. The staff were friendly and everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. A great spot for a short visit in Torquay, would happily stay again.

Very clean and well presented room

£57 for 1 night brilliant value for money. Very discussed with the £15 late check in fee. Also didn't do any breakfast so we had to walk down the road to another hotel for breakfast.

Close to the venue I was attending and close to restaurants, easy to find and street parking

A bit dated, toilet and shower was very cramped. Window was left open so room was cold. Central heating when turned on eventually heated the room. Bed was small and could feel the frame.

Falsely advertised upon arrival Avoid

Only real positive was the polite Staff member on arrival, other than that couldn't find anything else to praise.

This hotel was a huge disappointment and NOTHING like images on booking.com or its official website. States breakfast but wasn't any provided. Whole hotel is run down and needs alot of work, facilities were either not working or below par, is advertised as spa hotel with sauna and hot tub etc but this is very misleading. Had a leaking roof directly outside our room C7 small puddle on carpet. I'd imagine in summer time might be more appealing

Nice tidy hotel for a low price

It was a nice building, our room was called something like a small double but it was plenty big enough-it had a rack for clothes, a table and 2 chairs and a small table for the kettle etc, as well as the bed. The en suite was small but we don’t really hang around in there much. The pool and jacuzzi were available to use and although they were cold because of the time of the year it was a nice benefit. We were overlooking the outside pool and could see the sea - it was only £42 per night in winter! The manager was really concerned that we weren’t happy because we were leaving a day early, but it was such a cheap hotel, we only really wanted one night with a late check out and it was cheaper to pay for two in this one.

The decoration was a little tired. Sometimes it was hard to find staff, but there were numbers to call. The car park was crowded but we always were able to park.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful The room was large, bright and as described with fresh linen, plenty of tea, coffee and bathroom supplies.

Good but not the best.

We booked a sea view deluxe suit. The room was absolutely beautiful! The view was amazing. The hotel smelt very clean. We would love to come again, just for the room.

The pool was very cold for me unfortunately. Games room needs a revamp. E.g old dartboard (not fit for purpose). Pool table and cues were old and broken. Online it stated evening entertainment. However, there was none of that when we were there. By 9pm, the downstairs lobby was shut with lights off. We had to go out elsewhere.

Really enjoyable stay every time!!

Great hotel with friendly staff who are very accommodating and lovely to chat to. Hotel rooms are cozy and pleasant, in addition the key code access makes accessibility really easy (as someone who has misplaced keys it’s good to be able to get in without that worry). Also a great perk is that it has two swimming pools, one outside and one indoors with a sauna which I couldn’t believe when I first arrived.

Very basic TV and channels but can always use phone/tablet/laptop and always lots to do so not an issue personally
