We liked the hotel.

Excellent location of the hotel, very beautiful location, beautiful view, comfortable bed, quiet.

The pillows were terribly uncomfortable, the hair dryer didn't work, and apparently hadn't for a long time, because it was covered in dust, and there was no bottled drinking water. Unfortunately, the furniture was already shabby.

Overall, though, the positives far outweighed the minor inconvenience.

We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel in the Zaandam area. The location is already lovely, but what really stood out were the thoughtful, personalized touches: a handwritten note, balloons, candies, and even a complimentary room upgrade. The overall vibe was warm and welcoming. We also appreciated the free welcome drinks (soft drinks 😊) and the beautiful pool.

The only downside was that the pool hours were unclear. It was advertised to open at 6 AM, but when we called reception, we were told it actually opens at 7 AM. This was a bit confusing and inconvenient.

Zeer centrale ligging, je bent ook zo in Amsterdam met trein of taxi. Parkeren kan in q park Hermitage

Rumoer van de stad en het treinstation hoor je binnen ook. Hotel verder vrij basis.

Dam tot Dam, toplocatie

Locatie, en de uitstraling. Chromecast op de kamer is zeker een pluspunt. Prima hotel voor een bezoek aan Zaandam. Of als Dam tot Damloop uitvalsbasis. Treinstation om de hoek.

De wifi laat wat te wensen over. Icm de chromecast hapert het beeld dan. Tja, het kan wat gehorig zijn, maar je zit dan ook midden in het centrum. Daar horen ook wel wat geluiden bij. Al met al hebben wij een prima verblijf gehad hier en komen graag nog eens terug als we nog eens die kant op gaan.

Mooie locatie, dicht bij alle lokale faciliteiten

Onderhoud ontbijtruimte tijdens de ochtend shift valt serieus tegen. Alle kruimels van tafel worden gewoon op de grond geveegd!😳 niet zo proper voor wie later komt ontbijten. Bij warm weer worden de kamers vrij warm, geen zonneschermen!

Went above and beyond!!!

This was a beautiful place! Absolutely one of our favourites. The hotel was gorgeous, the surroundings were so lovely - the pictures do not do this place justice!! And the train station could not have been more conveniently located. I couldn't recommend this area more. I mentioned it was our honeymoon and the staff did so many lovely things. We took the train out to Zaanse Schans for our last day on our trip and it could not have been more perfect.

The location is great, efficient staff and very clean hotel

I didn’t like the idea of paying for a bath robe. This is the first hotel I would be asked to pay for a bath robe. Nothing to change into at the wellness room to use the sauna except for the clean towels.

The staff at Front Desk are just amazing ! My friend got really sick and they were all trying to help & we’re very concerned about his well being ! The location of the place is unbeatable!!!!!! This hotel is an iconic/ Instagram place to take pictures at !

Its okay, not amazing.

Front desk representatives were very polite and welcoming. Easy to reach the hotel, literally next to the station. The Hotel looks very pretty from the outside, good for pictures.

There were no charging points next to the bed. The decor of room was very basic, did not expect it to be so bland. For the price we paid, it was not worth it. Would not recommend in the perspective of price vs value.

A sensational weekend in Zaandam.

It was quirky and quiet, despite being very close to the train and station.

My only issue was the noisy seagulls…. But the can’t be helped.

De kamer was groot.

Voor een 4 sterren hotel viel het mij eigenlijk tegen. De wellness en zwembad waren klein en weinig luxe. Uitzicht vanaf de kamer was op een bouwput. Behoorlijk gehorige kamer, met veel geluid van boven en buiten. De hotelbar heeft weinig keuze, gewoon een Heineken kaart. ‘‘s avonds even de tv aan, hotelmenu met films. Ik denk dat is leuk…helaas ongeveer 8 euro om een film te huren. Ontbijt ‘‘s morgens voor 20 euro, is zeker niet het geld waard.

The location was very good, close to the train station.

The standard of the room was extremely poor. One bedside shelf; bedside lights above your head so you have to avoid them when waking up; a dangerous kettle lid; a fridge virtually impossible to open without hurting your fingers as it’s been forced into too small a space, plus it did not keep anything cool let alone cold; the hot water was inconsistent; a glass panel between the bathroom and bedroom that flooded the bedroom at night; no mugs only two glasses for all drinks. It felt like every corner had been cut.

Frühstück ist ganz ok, könnte aber für diesen Preis besser sein. Wir wollten für den Abreisetag dass Frühstück stornieren da wir vor Öffnung des Buffet aufbrechen mussten. War leider nicht möglich, uns wurde nur ein Frühstückspakt angeboten, jedoch ohne Kaffee und Marmelade. Wir haben daraufhin aufs bezahlte Frühstück verzichtet. Finde ich nicht Kundenfreundlich!

Unique outside building good for overnight stay

The outside of the property is super cool and very unique Unlike anything I have ever seen ! The rooms inside are super large

The rooms are pretty generic , like any mass hotel chain doesn’t match the uniqueness of the property . I didn’t find the Staff to be very helpful as there was a very long line at my check in I wouldn’t want to stay here very long as it’s good to get to airports and some shopping near by (mass type stores ) and to see the village ) train but at night would not recommend walking and nothing to do .

Not worth a return unless there is no other option and you have to stay in Zaandam

The location is decent and easy to reach in case you are using public transport. The rooms are Okay. Iron and ironing board at every floor but the irons are dated.

Surprisingly for a returning customer for the nth time, there is no recognition at this hotel. Even trying to say if the room can be alloted earlier as I had to rush for a meeting on Sunday, had to change in the washroom at the reception. AM unable to understand if all the rooms are made ready for check in at 3pm only. Are the number of housekeeping staff = the number of rooms. The hot breakfast can be taken (limited options though) only if you are a non vegetarian. Even simple every hotel options like baked beans, hash browns/potato wedges, baked tomato/saute mushrooms etc are not provided. Take it or leave it chicken sausages, bacon strips, scrambled eggs and boiled eggs and that is it. Only one elevator was working one day. It would stop at every floor and than move making it sooo looong to recah wherevr you had to.

First class hotel in a perfect location

Beautiful quirky building. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I ordered a welcome pack with fizz on arrival as my friend and I were both celebrating birthdays. The fizz was lovely and the platter looked beautiful but it was all sweet things and we had been expecting some savoury delicacies too. I mentioned it to reception and they brought us an amazing array of local cheeses, charcuterie, olives etc. absolutely delicious! The hotel was spotlessly clean and we had a delicious meal there on our last night. Excellent location too. Zandaam has a lovely centre but we also went to Zaanse Schans to the museums and windmills and into Amsterdam - excellent transport links. The swimming pool was lovely ,- I had it all to myself & with the mural on the wall it was like swimming in the river by the windmills.

Sehr preiswertige Option nicht ganz so weit von Amsterdam!

Das Zimmer war schön geräumig-perfekt für 2 Leute. Die Badewanne im Bad war auch toll. Die Aussichten waren schön und es war toll, ein Teekocher und Tee im Zimmer zu haben. Das Personal war besonders hilfreich und freundlich! Der Frühstück war gut und preiswertig. Das Gym war auch gut - mit Treadmill, Matte, Ball und eine Gewichtsmaschine. Die Sauna und Schwimmbad waren auch gut. Das Dampfbad braucht Reparaturen.

Der einziger Knackpunkt ist Zaandam selbst. Dieses Hotel ist ein Kunstwerk und die Gebäude in der direkten Nähe sind auch schön. Ansonsten braucht man nicht viel Zeit in der Nähe planen. Das ist auch okay, wenn die Züge nicht streiken. Leider ist das während unserem Aufenthalt passiert. Dann muss man mit 40 Minuten auf Büssen oder 70+ Euro für ein Taxi rechnen, um Amsterdam zu erreichen.

Beautiful Zaandam

I enjoyed the peaceful and quiet atmosphere of Zaandam, a welcome change from the bustle of Amsterdam Central. Amsterdam Central is conveniently located just one or two train stops away. The room was spacious and clean. There were a few shops and a supermarket nearby.

- Salle de petit dej limite en place et capacité - Ambiance très bruyante, difficile d’ouvrir les fenêtres (voitures et surtout caisse de résonnance des piétons dans un quartier très bruyant )

Served the purpose for a too high room rate

The exterior design and the location were great. The reception staff was very helpful and professional. The breakfast was good and bad. The choice and the quality was good.

The matrass was very soft, the bathroom was dirty and the bed lights were hanging loose and 1 we couldn't switch off. The breakfast was messy. Small area for the buffet, vacant tables without utensils while staff is just waiting doing nothing. Remarkable was there was no check if the guest was entitled to have breakfast.
