Very good value, convenient parking across the street, great breakfast.

Good location, opposite the train station offering inexpensive meter parking, with an extra bonus of no charge overnight (19h-09h). And only a 10 minute walk into the center of town. The breakfast was very good, there are only 3 rooms in this B&B so you are well looked after. The price, which included breakfast was very competitive. The room was modern, the bathroom was very good.

I did no like the steep & long staircase. We were on the 3rd floor, there are no elevators, and the climb to the room was a struggle for us retirees. The room was small, making navigation with my partner sometimes awkward. We were in room n° 3, an attic room with a vélux. Unfortunately, the vélux opening pole was missing so that opening/closing the window presented a small danger as we had to get up on a small stool. We did no like this, I strongly urge management to invest in an opening pole, it should have been supplied with the window.

Good stay for viewing Antwerpen with amazing breakfast.

The accomodation is located directly at the station. Therefore the perfect location for travel by train to Antwerpen (EUR 5 in weekend with 15 minutes train.) Moreover well located to center of Lier. Breakfast was amazing and more than enough! We really recommend this accomodation.

No big remarks, room not that big but sufficient for short stays.

Such an amazing B&B! The hosts were very welcoming and kind, the room was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. Also the breakfast was very fresh and tasty with a lot of choices, fresh bread and croissants, fresh pressed orange juice! I felt very welcome! I really want to thank the amazing hosts and see you next month :)

Lot's of parking since it's located next to the railstation. Nice and clean room, loved the rainshower in the morning. Breakfast was very good, cooked egg, bread was right out the oven, freshly cut fruit, all very nice.

Nice location, nice breakfast

It is nice B&B with only 3 rooms, very close to city center and main railway station. The room I stayed was rather small but was enough for the purpose. The breakfast was very good. The stairs going up to rooms are very steep and narrow. This must be considered when choosing.

The owner was extremely kind and helpful. She provided all the facilities I have asked for and she even prepared my breakfast in a lunch box because I had an extremely early train to catch. It was really considerate of her! I highly recommend this place.

Excellent stay

Comfortable, clean, modern rooms, very well situated in the center of Lier, walkable to everything and across the train station. Our room had a king bed and then a staircase up to another level with two twin beds. This was perfect for the family. Amazing breakfast spread and super nice owners. Highly recommend.

We were on the top floor and there is no elevator. It was not a problem at all as we were lightly packed, but just something to keep in mind.

Not an expensive stay and although the room wasn’t the biggest, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was perfect. Great location as I walked to the square for dinner.

Mijn eerste indruk van de 'receptie' (bar), dat in het restaurant zit. Maar eenmaal daar doorheen gekeken was het een schone, nette zaak met vriendelijke medewerker

Fantastische b&b!

Ondanks het aan het station ligt met bussen en treinen etc hoor je totaal niks van geluid. Het is super mooi en proper! En een zeer goed bed. Het ontbijt was zeer verzorgd ❤️. Wij zijn fan en komen zeker terug als we in de buurt zijn!

Badkamer proper. T.g.v. bed kan ietsje beter.

Kleine kamer. Velux hoog en geen buiten zicht. 1 zeteltje en niets anders om te zitten om iets te lezen. Goed vr 1 nacht.

Weekendje weg

De kamer was erg schoon en netjes. Het ontbijt was erg royaal en erg lekker. Niks op aan te merken. Wij hebben 1 avond hier gegeten ook dit was erg lekker. Wij raden dit aan iedereen aan.

Alleen het matras vond ik niet zo lekker liggen, maar dat mijn gezin vond dit wel goed. Iedereen is daarin natuurlijk anders. Al met al echt een top verblijf gehad.

Prima B&B, pal tegenover het station

Voor een treinreiziger als ik, ligt de B&B ideaal, pal tegenover het treinstation van Lier. De kamers zijn bereikbaar met een trap, belangrijk om te weten als men bijvoorbeeld slecht ter been is en/of zware bagage zou hebben (voor mij was dit verder niet van toepassing). De douche en toilet waren uitstekend, zo ook het bed. Altijd prettig (maar zeldzaam geworden, is mijn ervaring): een flesje water om de gast te verwelkomen, dat verdient hulde! Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd: brood, beleg (hartig/zoet), koffie, sinaasappelsap, yoghurt met vers fruit, en een ei! Ook hiervoor absoluut hulde!

Juist bij een B&B is de verwachting toch eerder dat men een warm en hartelijk contact met de gastheer en gastvrouw heeft, en ik vraag me af of de uitbaters van B&B Handelshof zich dat altijd volledig realiseren, ik vond nu de sfeer soms ietwat afstandelijk. Zowel aankomst als vertrek verliep enigszins "no nonsense", waar toch juist de ruimte zou zijn voor een vriendelijke glimlach, "hoe was de reis?", enzovoort. Ik wil ze beslist geen onrecht doen, en wellicht waren er persoonlijke omstandigheden waarom de sfeer wat "mat" leek, maar toch: ik adviseer de uitbaters om zich te blijven realiseren dat de gast een prettige en gastvrije ervaring wil! U bent gastheer en gastvrouw!

De B en B ligt tegenover het station, maar er is alles aan gedaan om de kamer geluiddicht te maken. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid, heel goed verzorgd. Wij voelde ons warm verwelkomd, alles was tiptop in orde.
