Beautiful property! The decoration throughout was so homely and country cottage chic and a very useful outhouse for storing wet hiking gear, and two hairdryers available!
Very clean throughout with towels and bedding for us to use.
A well equipped kitchen for all our cooking needs (we cooked a curry from scratch and had everything to hand), the host left us some fresh bread, home made jams, milk in the fridge and home grown apples and tomatoes, a lovely touch!
The hosts were very responsive when enquiring about things to do in the area.
A lovely place to base ourselves, the beautiful Crickhowell and Hay-on-Wye only fifteen minutes drive away and many hiking opportunities in the Brecon Beacons just thirty minutes drive from the property.
Overall very good value and beautifully presented, in a very quaint and quiet little village, would absolutely stay here again! It felt like home from home!
Parking was a bit of an issue as there are a lot of narrow streets and double yellow lines but we managed to find somewhere to park each night, the shops nearby are free to park between 6pm and 8am so we did this and moved the van in the morning to outside the property where perhaps people had gone to work and left spaces.

The cottage is beautiful, the space is well designed and there were lots of lovely extras such as fresh flowers and breakfast food provided which made me feel very welcome. There was free parking nearby.
Nothing, it was lovely.

The cottage has been very tastefully done up whilst retaining so much of it's original character and the owners Jo and Martyn had thought about absolutely everything to make our stay as welcoming as possible with a few little treats on top, it is warm cosy with plentiful hot water and a well equipped kitchen for those that like to cook on holiday, we loved it so much we are planning to go back next year!
Talgarth is an ideal place for people like ourselves that like to ditch the car and explore the area on foot with easy access to the black mountains and many other beautiful walks straight out of the village. There are many areas of beauty close by if you prefer to go further afield to explore! There is a very interesting working mill at the rear of the property with an amazing history which the original owner and the volunteers on site were more than happy to talk to us about and the fresh bread from the bakery is delicious. There is also a butchers, green grocers and a local co-op in the village which catered for all our needs and the food in the pub was delicious though booking is recommended as it is very busy! There is also a fish & chip shop if you prefer to grab a takeaway.
Nothing not to like!

Great location in heart of the village yet very quiet - the little garden area was a great oasis. Every detail in the house seemed to have been carefully considered, making the stay very memorable. Martyn and Jo were excellent and friendly hosts.
A beautiful part of the country at the foot of the fine northern slopes of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.
Nothing to 'not like'. The property is quite old ( with a few nice flagstone floors) so I guess a bit of care when moving around might be needed if you're either very very old or very very young.... but it's all quite safe (there are some helpful extra grab-rails here and there) and the attic snug is fun with great views across the rooftops to the hills.

Great location on bell street - we loved Talgarth and only 13 minutes drive into Hay on wye. Loved Talgarth mill and the strand bookshop cafe
cant think of anything

Excellent location within half hour drive to nearby towns like Hay on Wye and Brecon. Good walks in and around Talgarth with a local supermarket and a few shops and pubs. Cottage was wonderful - small but very clean and beautifully decorated. The back bedroom overlooks a stream with working mill. You can hear the stream at night as you lie in bed which is so relaxing and tranquil.
Can't think of anything! Just some advice to travellers - the best time of the week to visit is Thursday through Saturday as we found that the Talgarth mill as well as the pub and post office/museum in Talgarth weren't open Mon, Tue & Wed (the mill is open on Wed). Some stores and all the markets in Hay also tend to be closed Mon-Wed, although this could change during the peak summer season. Double check! I will say though that even with going Mon-Thurs we found plenty to do just exploring the local area!

7 Bell St is a very cute little cottage on a quiet road (only woken by the birds twittering)!
It had everything we needed, and we were pleasantly suprised to see milk, bread and delicious homemade jams left out for us (such a thoughtful touch).
We would have loved to have stayed longer to enjoy some of the walks around Talgarth.
We couldn't think of anything we didn't like! We'd happily stay again, and have recommended 7 Bell St to friends.

Great location in the centre of the town and very close to the excellent Bridge End Pub!
A perfect place for visiting glider pilots!
Car had to be parked some distance from the property.
