Fantastic

Great central location. Spacious apartment with everything you needed.Friendly and very helpful host. We had trouble ordering a taxi and Claudio was very responsive and had it all sorted in 5 minutes. He also gave us some lovely food and local activities recommendations.

Super convenient for families!

Excellent location in a charming area, very close to many restaurants. The owner Claudio went out of his way to provide what we needed and answer many logistical questions. While not being on site, he even called early morning taxis for us before we figured out the local taxi app, and helped with sending us a stuffed animal forgotten by one of the kids. We were a group of 8 and therefore we rented two apartments which are next to each other. One is slightly nicer but both were fine. Do not expect anything fancy, though. These apartments are somewhat basic but location, laundry machines, and breakfast were extremely convenient for our two families.

Strange color choice in one of the kitchenettes (bright orange!), but that's a detail, really. We did find that the bathroom in that unit could really use a bit of renovation and love...

The apartment was spacious and practical . The owner met us at the door, so access was easy The position was excellent : very central and with one flight of stairs

We are so glad we chose La Campanella for our 3 nights in Modena.

Claudio was a wonderful host. I had told him before that we were older and if there was no elevtor and the apartemnt is not on the ground floor, we would need help. When we arrived he was there to help us with the suitcsases, to let us in and give us the keys, and to show us everything we needed to know, both about the apartment and about the city. He told us about restaurants, sights, taxis, and everything else we needed to know. The apartment had everything we needed and more - including juice, milk, rolls, cookies, and cereal for breakfast. The location was perfect and within walking distance of everything in the older town. And I say that as an octegenarian who has some mobility issues.

I can't think of one thing negative about the apartment or Claudio. I will offer, however, a few words about the sights in Modena. We came with the plan to see Pavarotti's home museum, and we were not disappointed. The home is mostly as he left it, and it was a privilege to see his life there and mementos from his career and those he had known. Wonderful and moving. We had no car, but traveled to and from Pavarotti's home by taxi. The taxi system in Modena is excellent. You call or text them and they send the nearest taxi. Even way out in the countryside, we only had to wait 4 minutes. We planned to go to a place to see how balsamic vinegar was made, but instead stopped at a shop run by a balsamic vinegar company, and learned a lot there about the different kinds of vinegar and how they are made. I now understand why some kinds are both tastier and more expensive than what I typically buy in the USA. We tasted various kinds and found the perfect one for us. Later I saw that what we bought was available on Amazon, but for a much higher price. The third thing we wanted to see was the Ferrari museum(s). We were told there was a shuttle between the two, and that was true, but it didn't work out. We started at the Enzo Ferrari museum in Modena, and bought tickets for both that and the factory/museum in the countryside. The shuttle ticket was not available at the ticket booth. The shuttle cost €12 each way, we think, but that the bus was almost full when it showed up, so we were not allowed to get on. The shuttles only run twice each day in each direction. So we went back into the Enzo Ferrari Museum, but that tour was a disappointment. For €22 each (senior rate) we saw a couple of videos of Enzo Ferrari talking, maybe a dozen but surely fewer than 20 cars. While I saw some that were truly beautiful, and my husband enjoyed looking at the engines on display, it was not worth what we paid.

A comfortable well-equipped flat in the heart of historic Modena with everything we wanted close by.

La Campanella is a perfectly located first floor flat in the heart of historic Modena, with excellent cafes and restaurants, shops and the major attractions, from the Duomo to the Ferrari Museum, all just a short walk away. Claudio met us at the door and explained all the features of the flat and had some excellent suggestions for places to eat nearby and even checked everything was fine during our stay. The flat is spacious and had everything we needed.

The flat is on a quiet side street, but one neighbour a few doors down did leave about 7am weekdays on a motorbike - for a city centre location though it was generally peaceful and quiet at night, you couldn't hear any noise from the square round the corner.

Just fabulous, great apartment with plenty to do nearby.

The location was great, easy walking distance from the Railway. Plenty of shopping, restaurants and bars nearby. The apartment was spacious with large bedrooms and lounge. We were very comfortable. Claudio met us and gave us a thorough rundown on the apartment and some tips on the town etc.

It would have been better if we had stayed a week , not just four days.

We were 2 couples staying in this appartment for 1 night and everything was great. Claudio welcommed us very warmly and he recommended us nice places for dinner. Very enjoyable stay with a more than friendly hoste!

It was a clean and spacious apartment. The location was great only a 10 minute walk from the train station. Food locations and points of interest were also all in a 10 minute viscinity. Everything we needed was available(iron, hairdryer, washing machine,…). Claudio also advices us some restaurants and they were excellent!

Spacious apartment close to all the sites

Very spacious apartment in a great location to everything. Great communication with the host. Apartment had everything we needed. The box of pastries was a nice surprise, however description did say breakfast was provided but it wasn’t.

Only problem with the location is the big bins at either end of the street that were constantly emptied and with restrictions on the air control temperatures the windows needed to be opened to cool the room down, so it was noisy. In the cooler months this won’t be as much an issue as the windows can be shut. Also no breakfast provided as per the description

A relaxing stay in a first class apartment in the heart of Modena and with an excellent host

Our host Claudio contacted me prior to arrival which not all hosts do so that took a lot of stress away immediately. Claudio took great pains to explain all the facilities and how the appliances worked, and also recommended some excellent restaurants. The apartment was spotlessly clean and perfectly equipped with high quality furniture and equipment including ( rarity) very good wine glasses and a varied and more than adequate supply of whats for tea? and coffee etc. All in all La Campanella was everything and more than you could wish for.

Marvelous Modena Booking!

The host thought of every detail! We had everything we needed, and the breakfast was exceptional! My kids were delighted with the lodging and the food provided. The host was also very helpful and provided lots of information and advice about the area.

Nice apartment right in the center of Modena. Clean, spacious, and with a very kind, helpful and welcoming owner. Big and comfortable bathroom and 2 full-sized bedrooms, with real beds, not sofa beds.

The mattresses were quite soft. Otherwise, we would have given a higher rating. Although we know very well that this is personal, so perhaps others have no issues with this at all.

Great stay with my son. Spacious and in a prime location

Everything required for our short stay, but adequately equipped for a much longer holiday. AC in every room was great, especially due to the temperature during our visit.
