My room was located, opposite of a servise room. Too noisy when stuff stars a job. Around 6AM. Would be nice if you provide for clients silense for morning time.

Good customer service and spa. Hochsoelden unfortunately lacks restaurants & convenience stores.

The customer service is definitely great in this place, especially since all the work seemed to be done by one person alone (not sure if she was the owner). Good breakfast with sufficient vegetarian options. The spa area is really nice, with two sauna options (dry and wet) and leisure space. On the ground floor of the hotel there is a ski rental shop, again with fantastic customer service. You can activate your ski pass here (super convenient), rent/ buy equipment or leave your equipment for service. Free covered parking was provided, as well as bathrobes for the sauna.

Regarding the hotel itself I can't complain much other than the fact that our room was quite small (but we did not spend much time there anyway so we could live with it) and that our view was a concrete wall (literally). Yes, it was more cheap, but if I would have known in advance I would not book it. Other rooms had balconies or better views but I guess that was just our luck. Additionally, staying Hochsoelden has the advantage of being on the slopes (ski in ski out) but there are almost no restaurants there for dinner. When we were there (Jan 2022), two restaurants were open in Hochsoelden: one that had a 5 course dinner menu of 65 EUR/ person (who eats 5 things for dinner?!) and one that was always full and did not take additional reservations, probably because they were prioritising the people who stayed at their hotel. Taxis to go to Soelden are ridiculously expensive. If you have a car, be aware that the road is not properly cleaned (very surprising for us) and you need chains if it happens to snow. To be honest if I knew all of this in advance, I would have not stayed here. Hochsoelden does not have any convenience store and it really needs to sort our the food problem.

alles wat we nodig hadden voor een super relaxed en gezellig skiweekend

Geweldig warm en persoonlijk ontvangst door de gastvrouw en dat bleef het gehele weekend zo. Een ontspannen, huiselijke sfeer met een heerlijk verzorgd voorbereid ontbijt. Direct naast skiwinkel waar je ook je skipas kan kopen, aan de overkant van de straat een hotel met een heerlijk groot zonnig terras en uitstekend diner mogelijkheid. O en daar bindt je ook meteen je skis of snowboard onder en gaan!

Goed om te weten dat de skilift in hochsolden, de rotkogl, pas later opengaat dan de giggijoch. Althans toen wij er in het eerste weekend van april waren. Uiteindelijk gingen we dus 's ochtend toch eerst helemaal naar beneden (en die afdaling was nog wel knijter ijzig).

Es gibt auf Hochsölden wenig Möglichkeiten abends essen zu gehen .
