We were pleasantly surprised by this fantastic stay!

This was a wonderful stay! The 4 hotel rooms at Black and White are above a boisterous bar, but the rooms were well insulated and silent. Slippers and high-end toiletries were available, as well as waters and sodas in the fridge. The couple who checked us in were kind and helpful and the made-to-order delicious breakfast was delivered by a sweet gentleman. The room was gorgeous and very, very comfortable. I would highly recommend to other travelers!

Was a little worried at first as i couldn't find a reception but was directed to a team member helped my out. Was brought to the office, went through the checkin process and then in 5* fashion shown to my room and given a tour. Oh my what a room, mirror the doubles as a tv, huge walking bathroom. And so good it needs a line all for itself; The bed! Super comfy

I didnt like that i was unable to taste the pizzas being made down stairs, or that i could only stay 1 of my 2 nights...

location, staff (the owner is very friendly and do the work with his employees), very modern hotel. there are 4 rooms only with great size and free soft drinks and water. the restaurant is great open from 7 am till 3 am except Monday. Aline was very nice and helpful and speaks English

the bathroom is separated from the room by transparent window with light curtains in two rooms only (No 3 and 4) with my family it is a little bit hard to get privacy , so I might suggest to get a thick curtains

An incredible value, this wonderfully designed, high quality inn & restaurant / bar was excellent.

On the edge of the small town of Sondrio, Italy, in the Italian Alps, this “Inn” (“Lucanda” in Italian) was the highlight of our hotel experiences in Italy. Built, owned, and operated with a passion by Stefan, the inn, bar, and restaurant is maintained impeccably and attracts a local crowd daily with its generous happy hour, friendly well trained staff, and skillfully prepared food and pizza. Only four guest rooms, designed by the owner in a contemporary style, these feature sleek wood and glass accents, hidden televisions (behind one-way mirrors – very cool), automatic light blocking shutters right out of a James Bond movie, and exceptionally well designed sound proofing (we overslept by four hours, I blame the soundproofing). A short walk to the ancient downtown reveals shops and restaurants, public “Campos” (large open squares), and live street entertainment. A complete breakfast is offered for free, and the food and drinks are very nicely priced. With the limited rooms available, you probably should book this place well in advance. This inn was half the cost of the most expensive one we stayed at, and was twice as good! Super-kudos to Stefan and his staff!

Superb

Excellent small boutique type hotel, 10 minutes walk from the centre of Sondrio and close to the main road link to the whole of the region. The hotel part is above a lively bar/restaurant which serves great food and drinks all day with a fantastic terrace area at the back. Large free carpark next door.Due to covid it meant that after 6pm there was only the hotel guests in the restaurant but which served high quality food at a very reasonable price. The owner Stefano & all the staff including the waiter Marco were very attentive and polite, suggesting places to go and things to see. The 114km long Sentiero Valtellina is only 100m from the hotel, and the bikes from the hire shop were arranged by the manager and delivered to the hotel. The room was higher quality than expected and I would definately stay again if I am in the area.

Beautiful and comfortable stay

Very beautiful, clean and quiet rooms. Very friendly stuff, taking care of any detail of the stay, wonderful breakfast (we’ve got the one in the room), possibility to have a dinner in the hotel’s restaurant during the closure of all the other eating out options in the city due to pandemic regulations. All the safety measures were respected. I would recommend!

A little bit of buzzing down at the bar during the afternoon aperitivo time, but there was no problem with it later in the evening

Stanza meravigliosa con qualsiasi tipologia di comfort e di tecnologia. Proprietario e staff molto cordiali e disponibili a soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta. Molta buona anche la colazione e la cena effettuata in struttura. Sicuramente ci tornerei se dovessi passare da Sondrio.

Super séjour dans un hôtel confortable et moderne.

Arrivée surprenante dans une structure qui ne s'apparente pas à un hôtel mais il s'agit d'un restaurant pizzeria. qui dispose de 4 chambres dans l'immeuble. Les chambres sont vraiment top et d'un rapport qualité prix plus que correct. Pas de nuisances sonores du au restaurant c'est super bien isolé. Le patron et le personnel son très sympathiques et fort accueillants. Le déjeuner se prend dans la salle du bar du restaurant, servis à table.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht in diesem großartigen Hotel. Die Zimmer top modern, einfach super. Preis Leistung ist super. Abendessen im Gartenrestaurant mit Champions League, großartige Stimmung und gutes Essen. Würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen.

L'attention et le professionnalisme de l'équipe me laisse un très bon souvenir, dans mes expériences, dans l'hôtellerie. Ne changer surout rien à cette approche.

L'aspect dynamique du lieu qui, rest accessible jusque tard dans le soirée. Également, le fait de pouvoir se restaurer sans avoir à quitter l'endroit, vraiment top.
