The air conditioning was off initially for our early afternoon check in but was turned on after telling the front desk. The staff was excellent and helpful, and scrambled eggs cooked to order was a great addition to an aready nice breakfast buffet.

Soothing sounds from the stream

Hotel is located right in front of the stream that goes through the middle of the town. My room was on the first floor and the white noise this stream made was soothing. Now if you don't like white noise, you can shut the window. The windows are high grade and soundproof. Room was spotless and everything worked including the A/C. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. They have a secure underground garage if you're looking to bring your motorcycle. They themselves are riders.

Recommended stay

Lovely hotel close to restaurants with a nice view overlooking the river. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included delicious pastries, cakes and fresh breads.

Comfortable stay in perfect location

Perfect location - very short walk from the main square with restaurants and bars close by and lovely view over the mountains and the pretty buildings of Sondrio. Would definitely stay here again

Perfect central location. Convenient underground parking for motorcycles. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean with good air conditioning. Would stay here again.

lovely view from the 4 th floor and nice piazza near us … comfy bed and room . very quiet and sadly struggling due to Covid! lovely small town with lots of history

bathroom needs a full redesign! knees hit shower on toilet . smelt badly of mould ( need to get people to come to afford to fix, but really needs bidet taken out and replaced with toilet and shower renewed and extended … breakfast was very very limited…. again we understand why ….

The location was very nicely situated by the river. perfect for walking excursions and also only a minute from the town centre. The breakfast was very good.

The staff is extremely friendly and the best people ever. The food is really delicious and I loved it. The room was quite big and the facilities were super nice for a small town.

nice family-run hotel, close to the center of town, great for motorcycle riders due to parking option

very central location. We could park the motorcycles in their private garage (next to the motorcycles of the family!). Nice people when checking in. Family-run hotel sort of guarantees that they care about you. Breakfast was normal for Italy, perfectly enough for me with bread, yoghurt, real coffee etc.

Great overnight stay, friendly staff, comfortable room

I arrived later than expected and was greeted by the receptionist who kindly moved his car so that I could park close by the door. Amazing view of the river next morning and the breakfast was excellent.

This is not a complaint to the Hotel Europa but in Italy generally, why provide a work desk but with no power socket nearby to plug in a laptop?! I must have seen this in at least 100 Italian hotels!
