Beautiful design and very comfortable bad! It was comfortable and cozy! Love the windows that you can see everything!

There was no reception, restaurant, or anything open in the area and there was no kitchen - this detracted from the experience!

A great bungalow

The bungalow is really exceptional: beautiful and well equipped. Being out of season, we were alone on the site and did not see anybody. The management was nice to offer us (via messaging) the possibility to be their guests for the sauna. We really appreciated this experience by night.

Ballstad is a little off the tourist tracks. Unfortunately, the view from the bungalow is not as fantastic as expected. The lodge is close to industrial buildings.

Quiet, Cosy place, but watch the stairs to the bedroom loft

Quaint place to stay. Clean and quiet.

Could have warned guests that the beds are accessed by a short stair, which makes it rather inconvenient, particularly for older folks who may not appreciate the need to climb stairs.

Wonderful views from our cabin!

Our cabin had a wonderful unblocked view of the area. We could just sit all day long and gaze out the big picture windows. Our cabin was well furnished and came with a kettle and sink. The bathroom was excellent. The bedroom access was unique as we had to go up a step ladder and there was a skylight and wide window view of the area. It’s a 15min drive to Leknes so convenient to get anything. And we saw the Northern Lights from our room!

Maybe a couple more hooks and hangers for clothes?

Great location for Lofoten exploration and Ballstad is an underrated gem for hiking

Great views of Ballstad harbour and mountains, good facilities, central location in Lofoten very good for sightseeing both eastern and western parts of the islands.

The kitchen is too basic, one hot plate would have done wonders. We stayed for a week so cleaning became an issue. Cleaning is paid extra, which is fine, but there are no cleaning supplies to do it yourself, not even a small dustpan and brush set.

We had a nice view towards the water, probably the best one. Nicely built cabins, very cosy. Very nice location/neighbourhood. Good position within Leknes area for visiting. Close to supermarket.

A humble and luxurious holiday at the same time.

I love how quiet and peaceful Ballstad is. The cabin was superb in and out. I had a wonderful stay and will come back again to see the northern lights from there. It’s near a shop and two bus stops. Staff were very helpful and their restaurant HEIM serves stunning dishes!

Everything was excellent. The view from the room and interior design are outstanding. The cabin was very clean and so nicely decorated. The place is well equipped you get everything you need. The staff is very helpful. We definitely recommend this place.

It has beautiful big picture windows with great views.

There was no soap or shampoing. I think the ladder to go upstairs is very steep and there was no ramp to hold on to.

Loved it! Wasn’t even sure what I had booked so was all smiles when shown my cottage with its own wrap around veranda and an unbeatable view. Great restaurant, great sauna, great staff.

Full score if only the ventilation had worked. I was informed of this issue on my arrival and also told it wouldn’t be fixed until a few days later when I wouldn’t be staying there any longer. The upstairs bedroom was unbearably hot because of this. The stairs to the bedroom are very steep so be careful. All that said and I still really enjoyed my stay.

I thought there would be cooking facilities ( didn't read the spec closely enough!) I also thought a small handrail would help at the top of the ladders/stair arrangement which was quite steep

Cleanliness, fresh premises, not too crowded and calm atmosphere, nice terrace / deck space for all cabins, parking was easy, blinds on all windows.

Memorable stay in a beautiful location!

Beautiful and modern rorbuer. We stayed in a corner cabin, with a fantastic view on the water and the mountains. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at HEIM, the Lodge’s restaurant. Lovely and helpful staff.

Keep in mind that in our cabin, the bed was upstairs (in a mezzanine) and you have to climb narrow stairs to access it. It was not a problem for us, but might be tricky for some.

Hemmingodden Lodge is a cosy place. The view is stunning ! Tina is a nice person and available if needed. The Heim restaurant is delicious too !

We couldn't switch off the terrasse's light which was disturbing to appreciate the Northen lights.
