Cosy Winter stay in May’s apartment with stunning waterfront mountain views

The apartment was warm, comfortable and spacious with stunning waterfront mountain views from Reine. Check-in was clear and effortless. The kitchen and laundry facilities were fantastic. The shower was clean with amazing water pressure. The host was responsive and very helpful with enquiries. There was a manual provided with countless recommendations and advice. Perfect location in Reine to explore other areas of Lofoten. Onsite car chargers (to use with a fee) were a great addition.

The bed was on the softer side, but still a comfortable sleep.

Staying at 2nd floor is a bit inconvenient to move the luggage especially during snowy and rainy weather which make the staircase very slippery.

Great place to stay when in the Lofoten. Very clean and convenient.

Good instructions on key collection. View was great and the place was new and very clean. There was a clothes washing machine which makes it very convenient and the car parking was included. This was our best and most memorable stay during our trip to the Lofoten and Norway. It was also my first time to see the Northern Lights during my stay at May's Apartment.

1. Instructions on using the Dish Washer. Was not sure if need to put a white tablet in and where. Some basic instructions will be useful 2. Instructions on where the pots and pans for cooking are kept. Perhaps a label on the cabinet will be very useful instead to opening and closing and guessing. Had to call the host to find out that is was the drawer under the oven

Stylish, Warm, Welcoming.

The room was beautiful - very clean, modern, and stylish and with all the amenities we could ask for. We particularly liked having a small kitchen. The bed and bedding were comfortable. We loved our view towards the water and mountains. It rained much of the time we were there, so we didn't sit outside, but were able to enjoy the view through the windows. We were grateful for the washer and dryer, which were in a separate building (but steps away from our apartment). We had brought some laundry soap, but the facility also had laundry supplies for our use. We used the microwave oven in the laundry room, since our room had a stove but not an oven. We also really liked the location. Aside from the spectacular scenery, we were able to easily walk to the market, shops, and restaurants, and had several very enjoyable walking loops through the town.

An oven would have been nice, but its absence did not detract from our stay at all, since we were able to work around it.

Large comfortable apartment in great location with very helpful host

I was exceptional pleased with this property. Although I never met host, the instructions were clear and easy to follow to find place and get key. It is conveniently located close to ferry and convenience story and gas station and restaurants nearby. Apartment was quite large with full kitchen facilities and very clean. Shower was hot and powerful. Bed was very comfortable. WiFi worked well. Information of local restaurant that served both breakfast and supper. What I most appreciated was notification late night before I left to inform me that the ferry was cancelled because of damage that evening. In a back and forth communication I was given options and possibilities to get off the island (as I had flight out of Bodo next day). I was able to book flight and arrange for rental car pickup that evening so everything worked out okay. Could have been disastrous if I didn't find out about the cancellation until next morning. (Ferry did notify me middle of night). I felt the host went well beyond expectation in helping out with this. I REALLY appreciated it!

A thoughtfully designed and luxurious escape

These apartments are so well designed and maintained. You can really feel the quality through every decision made - from the speakers provided to the toiletries. It felt like such a luxurious and cozy escape, and the views are truly fantastic. The location is very close to the town centre and the start of the famous hike. We couldn’t have appreciated the efforts of May’s team more!

Modern apartment

Access to laundry machine. Nice location to do day trips by bus. Clean and modern. We had the uppstairs room and it was quiet (except for neighbour house noise).

It was about 27 celsius outside when we arrvided and it felt hotter inside. Turned out there is no air conditioning. This was an unpleasant surprise since we paid for an air conditioned room. Also there is very bright sun light day and night. All the windows are not seen in pictures. Overall feels like aesthetics comes before practicality in this place. For example, cabinets look tidy but there are too few plates and utensils for a longer stay. A micro wave in the room would be more practical. Blankets were super hot for summer. Seems overpriced, but that's normal in this area. Bigger grocery shops are about 3 km away.

Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

The apartment was clean and very calming. It had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and there were thoughtful touches, like a Bluetooth speaker to play music, heated bathroom floor and many places to hang clothing. There was also free use of a washer and dryer right next to the apartment.

Very comfortable, enjoyable stay

We enjoyed everything about our stay here. The location is fantastic, the apartment modern with a very comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, and a nice bathroom/shower. Parking was located outside, near the apartment, and we were right in the middle of the town and by the water. We were able to walk and easily explore the town on foot. We really appreciated the fact that the apartment building had a washer and dryer that we could use. It's rare to have these available. If we return to Reine again, we'd definitely like to stay here again.

Fabulous View.

Check-in instructions were sent ahead of time. Our group hired the 2BR Apartment and 1 Studio. Both places were nice, clean and fantastic views. The 24/7 laundry facility was great because we had six people who needed wash and dry clothes after 10 days of travel. The location is great, so close to restaurants, grocery, and attractions. The only drawback was that the 2BR Apartment didn't have sufficient pots compared to the studio. And the street lamp is very bright and inline to the Storm studio apartment. So we couldn't sleep with curtains open to admire the view or wait for the Aurora Lights at night.
