It is a pretty old building , our bedroom was spacious and the staff/ owner were super helpful.

Breakfast was perfect- bread with cheese, ham. Cereals, croissants, yoghurt, juices, hot drinks. Lovely setting

A historical hotel right now tram line construction in front

We were there in AUG 25. The room was clean and so is the wash room. The room and bathroom is good. An old charm beautiful building with a lift. If not for the construction right in front of the hotel my way of rating the hotel…. If anyone reading to know how to get to the hotel from the Geneva airport, Use the Geneva tourist pass on transportation to get into a train towards Geneva main train station. Walk out and look for tram no 17 or bus no 12 towards Lancy bachet , or train towards Lancy bachet from GVA train station. Get down at Lancy bachet station. Out of Lancy bachet station you can get bus 12 or tram 17 towards Rondeau. Infront of Ibis hotel and walk straight parallel to tram track towards the hotel.

1. We were never informed about the very noice construction happening right in front of the hotel tram line. 2. We were never communicated that tram line is no more operating in front of the hotel and information was provided of the tram service which non ops. 3.On arrival in Geneva train station we could not find the tram as mentioned, fortunately we called the hotel reception and for our luck lady spoke English and told us the issue. 3. We took the tram No 17 which stops near Ibis hotel But a very little walk to the hotel not a big issue. 4. Breakfast is boring and it’s the same thing nevertheless appreciate it’s given free. 5. It’s not the Hotel’s fault re the construction but when you have to wake up at 07am everyday with lot of digging noices it really is bad.

Charming beautiful property !

Charming Property and really nice staff! Breakfast was nice and they also have a nice restaurant (Italian) on property !

If you plan on arriving earlier than the check in time I would confirm that with them days in advance because I arrived early the day of and the door was locked to the hotel and nobody answered the phone so I couldn’t even have them hold my bags or get in touch with them for hours .

Lovely hotel in Carouge

Cozy Hotel, the tram station to reach the city center is right in front of the hotel, then it's a 10 minutes ride to the center. The bed was really comfortable and the staff was really kind.

Wifi a bit shaky sometimes, all the rest was fine.

We loved everything! The room was lovely and very clean - had everything you needed. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff were great and went over and above to make our stay perfect - so a big thank you to them. We will be back.

Lovely neighbourhood but just a decent stay

The location is amazing -- far from the city bustle of Geneva, but extremely well connected via the tram lines 12 and 18. We loved the hip locality of Carouge, far more than the central city. There are great pubs and nightclubs nearby. The food options nearby are quite decent as well. If you are into heritage stays, this hotel building has been around for close to two centuries. You definitely get that vibe, even though it wasn't the one we were particularly looking for. We liked the bathroom however -- it was spotless clean and much larger than what we expected at this price. The staff were supportive enough to keep our luggage in hold for the day we checked out, and we could come back later for it.

The breakfast could have had some variety over the daily bread/egg/cereal. Cleanliness of the entire facility may be improved, as we found strong mouldy stench from the hallway carpets the day we checked in. The room was alright at this price in Geneva, we believe, but still, compared to a standard business hotel, it was still lacking. The bedroom was appointed in a heritage fashion, something that is not our taste. We would have preferred a modern bedroom that was slightly bigger in size and had a more comfy bed in general. We would have preferred a room to keep our luggage and a token to identify it when we came back, but it was stored just behind a curtain at the reception without any formality.

Lovely hotel in a lovely Carouge neighborhood. Beautiful breakfast, friendly staff. 20 minutes by tram to the center, trams go every 10 minutes - very convenient regarding value and money. Carouge neighborhood was an unexpectedly sweet discovery.

We had a room facing the street which is next to the tram line. This meant it was quite noisy. We arrived late and perhaps this was the only room remaining. Ensure you ask for a room away from the Main Street

easy to get too using the tram from central train station. comfy beds and very clean. staff friendly and helpful. good communication with hotel prior to visiting. continental breakfast was nice with a nice variety and plenty of food available. small hotel with nice character. the price of the hotel is right for the accommodation.

Well, what can I say?: The rooms are old and in need of an urgent update, as well as the comfort of the beds. The stuff is all ancient and really out of date and shape. And I've been visiting this hotel the first time 2016 - I know what I'm writing about.

Perfect place to stay in Geneva

The room was perfect and super close to so much. Tram stop was directly outside which meant easy access to literally the whole of Geneva on our doorstep!! Staff were friendly and polite, breakfast was lovely and it was overall great. Have already recommended to friends looking to visit Geneva and will continue to recommend and hopefully return in the future!

A great base for exploring Geneva

An excellent location for exploring Geneva. With a tram stop outside the hotel access was straightforward. Breakfast was very good with a varied continental breakfast with boiled eggs available. The room was comfortable and well equipped. A feature was the free travel pass for local transport within the Greater Geneva area provided by the hotel - trams, trolleybuses, buses and small boats that shuttle across the lake servicing Geneva. The neighbourhood of Carouge was excellent with plenty of shops bars cafés and restaurants. But remember Swiss prices are very high.

Although very convenient the proximity of the tram stop unfortunately meant that the noise could be intrusive. So suggest you ask for a room at the back of the hotel to minimise this.
