It was brilliant, and we loved it...

Everything was brilliant - the heating system worked really well, the beds were really comfy, but, one small niggle about the woodburner, unfortunately...

The woodburner was a bit smoky - not sure, but I think the chimney needs a cowl on it. I have a woodburner myself, so I'm proficient in lighting, managing and maintaining woodburners.

Really enjoyed our stay, would book again and for longer. Highly recommend

Absolutely loved the feel of this property. Old world charm with modern comforts. It was secluded and quiet - no road noise whatsoever, just the occasional cow calling in the distance - a good night’s sleep ensured. The gardens were enchanting and a recipe for total relaxation. Thoroughly enjoyed, and would highly recommend.

The configuration of bedrooms 2 & 3 was a surprise. To reach the end bedroom you needed to walk through one the other bedrooms, perhaps an issue regarding privacy for some.

A beautiful spacious barn conversion with lots of space to relax and enjoy the area

A lovely spacious nicely converted property with great facilities. Very comfy beds, good size rooms, a large living area and a well resourced kitchen. A beautiful garden outside although it was a bit too cold for us to use the outside space as we were there in April. Easy parking. This was perfect for us coming to walk some of Offa’s Dyke.

Not an issue but worth being aware that you access one of the double bedrooms through the twin bedroom. It was not a problem for us, but might be helpful to know if you have different families staying together. We also thought a plastic chopping board would be helpful for putting in the dishwasher!

The location and house were very beautiful. All was tidy, pleasant and comfortable with clear instructions and as per the photos.

My friends and I had a fantastic stay at The Old Barn over New Year's. The property had everything we needed, it was clean, spacious, a beautiful property and a great location, close to Hay-on-Wye for the bookshops and some of the best walks in the country on the doorstep. I would highly recommend staying here.

The Barn was well equipped with plenty of seating and comfortable beds. Attractive garden areas. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Good location for great walks in surrounding area.

Wi-fi intermittent (believe owners trying to address). Unusually for a farm, there were not really any areas on the site for exercising dogs.
