The Crown Inn

The best things are the friendly and hospitable staff and the friendly atmosphere in the bar, with lots of locals blending in with visitors like us, delicious meals with varied ingredients, although portions are too big for us, and the attractive rooms, with comfortable beds, and the public areas. I love the location inland from the busy touristy coast in a genuine Georgian Norfolk village.

Ensuite shower room is small and a little dated, but perfectly clean with big soft towels.

Everything. The staff were amazing, the food excellent accommodation clean and extremely comfy bed and location perfect.

Pleasant restaurant and bar, friendly staff, tasty breakfast.

The noisiest stay we’ve ever experienced. Room 2 was small but clean. Bathroom was shabby and needs updating. Checked in at 4 pm and was looking forward to chilling before eating at 7 pm. Our bed might as well have been in the bar, so noisy, not just slight hum of conversation. The stairs to the room had a door at the bottom and top which if closed would have cut down some noise but I was shocked to see groups of men from the bar standing at the bottom of them having conversations. The rooms should be private and closed off from the general clientele. Road noise didn’t bother us. Went to the bar at 6 for a drink and to try and relax. Ate at 7, tempura prawn starter didn’t taste of much and the burger was nothing special. Nice staff though. Fell asleep easily after a few drinks but then woken up at 5.45 am by couple in the next room talking. Had breakfast at 7.45 am and the waitress with the cackle informed us ‘it had been pissing down with rain” during the night.
