Very warm welcome and excellent food.
Those travelling on business should note that the wifi is very poor and because there is no access to any of the public rooms before 08.30 there is nowhere to work before that time.

Welcoming staff (especially the black spaniel dog who had half of my toast 🥰). Rooms were lovely and homely.
Pillows weren’t the best, need to be much more plump a room temperature was so hot, had to sleep with the window open!

Great value, great location and friendly staff. Very relaxed atmosphere with many dogs chilling on their leads. Really enjoyed our day.
A little bit noisy in evenings

The staff were all cheerful and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Views over the fields and the grazing geese from the bedroom. Good power shower. Historic building and close to Holt.
The stay was everything we signed up for and more!

Beautiful building with spacious and warm rooms. Great open fire and excellent menu
One of us has a dog allergy - it’s a very dog friendly place and we had some allergy challenges

Good location for what we needed. Nice continental breakfast with the price but you can upgrade if you wish
Our room was above the bar area and a little noisy, the bath/shower were excellent except my husband has a slight disability and was not able to get into the bath

The staff treat you like next of kin. The pub / restaurant are excellent. Beer is excellent. They only use the best suppliers for all the food anywhere, the PACT coffee is unbeatable, the fish superb and we had the best oysters ever.
I should have stayed two nights rather than one

Great location ( we had tickets for Thursford Christmas Spectacular), and for visiting Christmas market in Holt.
The mattress was a little bit firm for me personally but still comfortable.

Nice bar area.
The heating in the room was intense, tried to turn off the radiator to no avail. Opened the window wide and used a fan. Still VERY uncomfortable sleeping. Pillows very hard.
Breakfast was a very sparse ‘continental’ breakfast. Never had such a poor ‘continental’ breakfast in my life. For £170 per night expected more than an uncomfortable stay with a poor breakfast.

Arrived early, was shown to room despite being an hour pre-check in time. room was very warm (hail/ snow outside)
Very helpful and accommodating staff.
The dining room was cold, despite the log burner being on. It was also cold at breakfast the next morning, the other couple having breakfast were wearing their puffa jackets.
The breakfast offered was cereal and toast and croissant. I had expected a cooked option/ porridge.
There didn't seem to be many staff for breakfast and it was overall rather disappointing as the rest of the stay had been nice.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. Staff were very welcoming to us and our two spaniels. Room was comfortable, food was delicious and evening meal was excellent too. Hotel set back from the road, masses of car parking and lots of areas to walk the dogs close by. Definitely visit again.

Breakfast was delicious clean room very comfortable bed and nice hot shower
Too many dogs in the restaurant particularly 2 very large dogs on the table next to us .. as it was raining heavily and they came in wet there was a smell
This won’t put me off staying again but not everyone likes dogs

Dan was a very friendly and personalising host. The room was small but lovely. The food was excellent, good value and served by a very nice lady.
Although lovely, this room might feel a bit cramped for a long stay. Apart from hanging space (with loads of hangers!!) in the wardrobe there was nowhere to put anything apart from under the bed.

Lovely, period property. Rooms clean and welcoming, ours was a tad small but wasn’t a problem for one night. Food enjoyable as well, our dogs were made to feel very welcome which is always a huge plus!

Beautiful pub with lots of character, great staff with a good choice of meals on the menu and specials board, lovely room overlooking the fields with lovely black cows and geese.
Room was chilly, should make sure radiator is on for end of September, radiator in bathroom didn't come on, so not comfy went having a shower.

Everything about the Kings Head was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Fresh clean bedroom and set in a quaint location. Breakfast was available and a continental breakfast was available to all guests. Although we did not eat at the Hotel the menu looked very appealing. Will definitely book here again if I the area again.
The only thing we didn't like was that we had already eaten before arriving here. Would have liked to have had a meal there.

Excellent food.
It’s a bit nerve wracking coming out onto the main road as the exit is on a bend.
