Authentic mountain rifugio

Lorenzo and Sonia were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was varied and catered for all our needs. The coffee was good quality and plenty of it. The shower was very hot with a good pressure. The rooms were clean and towels replenished throughout the stay. Communication with Lorenzo was good and prompt. His evening menu was excellent and definitely worth experiencing while you are staying there. It is authentic Aosta cooking.

The room we were in wasn’t very big which wouldn’t have been a problem if the weather had been better as we would have been out all day. As it was we didn’t ski all day and it would have been nice to have been able to sit in the breakfast room. We appreciate this requires trust as clients would need another key for access as Lorenzo is not at the property all the time. On the last day we did have access to the room as we waited for our taxi, this was an enormous help. Other rooms were bigger so just ‘luck of the draw’ as booking.com did not allow us to choose rooms.

A fab rustic ski holiday thanks to great staff.

Lorenzo and Sonia were brilliant. The breakfast was good and the location great. Lorenzo cooks an evening meal which was good value for money and high quality.

Booking.com were very poor, we had strange messages and Booking.com didn’t look into them. They communicated badly between the property and us.

Absolutely perfect!

We skiied from France (La Rosiere) to Italy on Wednesday for just one night, and stayed at the Refugio Lilla. It was absoltelu perfect in every way. Comfortable bed, great shower, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast. We want to make this an annual event. Thank you, Lorenzo!

Cosy purple hotel in the old town of La Thuile

Cute hotel with cosy and spacious room, and very comfortable bed. Wonderful breakfast with homemade cake, mokka coffee. Wide assortment of food. Walk-able distance to the ski slopes, about 10 to 15 minutes, if that's too far the owner offered to bring us to the slopes by van. Free parking close by.

A really lovely location with fantastic hosts.

The location was amazing, set in the heart of the village by the slopes. The apartment was lovely, the beds were very comfy. We loved the breakfast. Many thanks to Lorenzo and Sonia for an amazing stay.

It was enchanting and felt iike we were in another place in time!

The breakfast offered many delicious choices, the coffee was delicious and the staff was so polite. Also, I enjoyed the beautiful music playing, while enjoying breakfast. And the dining room itself was enchanting to us!

The only suggestion we could make is to place a sign or two, in the vacinity, to guide guests to the rifugio.

Exceptional

Very conveniently located. Staff were brilliant in ever respect, they went over and above to make our stay a pleasure. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, usual continental choice or scrambled eggs and bacon which was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We had a lovely stay, the owners could not do enough to help make our stay perfect, we would love to return again.

small hotel, quiet, clean and comfortable rooms, the owners were on hand to meet any of our needs and made our stay special.

The Wi-Fi is patchy at best, however this is made clear by the hotel and is actually a feature of La Thuile as a whole. This was not a problem for us.

We LOVED the blanket! It was warm and fluffy. The host was very cool and friendly and helpful, he really wanted to know how are we doing and whether he can do something. From outside, there was no noise coming in.

Bed and pillows were hard for us, but we usually like really soft ones. Warm water took long to come. Floor in the room got a little wet when you come from snow. It was not very comforetable to dry your clothes.

Host Lorenzo and his wife were amazing, Lorenzo provided us with excellent tips for shops and restaurants. It was great chatting to him. Amazing breakfast. We really felt welcome and at home. We will be sure we come back and strongly recommend Refugio Lilla to friends and family. thank you.

we will be back !

Very charming small hotel operated by Lorenzo and his team who were absolutely fantastic. They really made us feel welcome and helped with any of our needs, whether it was disassemble of the snow chains or providing portable internet connection to our teens. The location is nice, about 7-10 minutes ski boot walk from the slopes in the heart of original small village. the rooms are well kept and comfortable. The hotel restaurant provides simple and tasty local two course dinners with nice local wines.

there are no any shops closer than the downtown village. Wlan connection is poor but also here Lorenzo was able to help us with the portable connection.
