Super staff in a quaint hotel with some quirky downsides
The Staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean and had character. The Spa was small but had good facilities.
When we arrived at 9.40pm we were told there was no food available in the hotel restaurant as it closed 10 minutes earlier. We were then directed to go to the bar as they would serve us a sandwich or toast. When we went to the bar we were told this was not the case and all they had available was left over croissants from breakfast. We asked if there were any other restaurants open in town - and the barman said there was one (la Cage Aux Folles) but it was closing at 10pm and it was a 15 minute walk away...he kindly phoned the restaurant and they said if we could make it by 10 then they would feed us. Anyway on the way to this restaurant, 2 mins from the hotel, there was a bar selling food which remained open until midnight...So, whilst the staff were friendly and helpful they didn't get off to a great start...In addition, the rooms were very small even for an Alpine resort and the mattresses very unforgiving. Finally the ski room is a 3 minute walk from the hotel in an underground car park across the river - so not the most convenient.

Beautiful hotel. Perfect location in the centre. Shuttle to the lifts. Pool and spa. Impeccable staff. Francesco the maitre d'hôte runs a first class restaurant.
